  1. Passenger trains are forced to be by government all operating at a loss. American rail roads stopped service in the 50 s because of loss of riders due to cars . Amtrak is operating at a loss every year but forced to run under government taxes

  2. It’s quite amazing that about a 100 years ago we had almost none of the modern amenities, and even more amazing that in 50 years we went to the moon. Technological advancements in the 20th century was just unreal.
