So it’s a fun game to watch but not play?
Great review. Seems like a cool idea, but a shame it missed the mark
I feel like I've seen this exact art style in at least 3 other 3MR games
This sounds like a game I might like…. But that the execution would probably make it extremely painful…. Specifically the hunting for interactive elements and the fiddly positioning stuff…. Like having to do fine positioning with course controls makes my throat and chest try to phase out of existence… First started with the settlement building in fallout 4… Trying to get stuff to snap and it's like fishing green for a frame while I keep sweeping back and forth over the spot where I want it to snap… Like just thinking about it while writing this is kinda triggering the sensation….
Director: Hey, um… all our programmers and animators quit.
Artist: lets FUCKING DO THIS!!!!!
Looks neat the way how the framing of the scenes progresses the game through those nifty transitions, but yeah – i can see how it can be a bit fiddly and tedious. Neat idea and compositions though!
Just seems like a worse version of a game I played a bit ago called Moncage, and that game wasn't great to begin with. I like most of it, but there were a few too many unexplained mechanics that you're just expected to be able to figure out. Still, only takes about 2 hours and it has actual puzzles, though the quality of them is questionable.
Not every game needs to be perfect…
Ah. The "it was better as an idea than a game" game.
So instead of the pixel hunt or the random combination of items of old, now the new annoying mechanic is moving the camera until something happens ? Seems point&clic games are condemned to clunky gameplay…
a comment to please our almighty overlord with engagement to feed the algorithm!
So I guess you can say, in hindsight this might have not been too good of an idea?
The creativity looks like it's there and definitely feels like the publisher's kind of game, but I'm not much for games that rely on perspective puzzles after The Witness.
A bland visual novel sold under the disguise of a "game".
And another game for my "I really have to take a look but there is no reason to finish it" list.
these reviews lol, it always feels like
"(x) is a lovely new little game. But, this game murdered my entire family and the developers should be burned at the stake. Get it on steam next week."
I Bet in the end it Enables Narcissistic Abusive Parents, Too.
