Decides then to give training a try and travels to North Carolina to train on the backroads there, a place where he once raced terrifically b f cancer, hoping those roads inspire him, remembering a happier time. For this training he takes Bob roll w him, a rider he doesn’t know well, b c coach thought they wd be compatible for two weeks or so as roll is funny and quirky
Just the two of them, Armstrong and roll, in the hinterlands, training. And it’s there Armstrong starts again w doping regimen.
Such a lonely place. V hard to believe roll did not know Armstrong back on illegal drugs
