  1. Looking forward to your build. There used to be one sitting at T F Green airport in Rhode Island. It was painted tan and white. From what I was told the person who owned flew it from where he purchased it and when he went to land the high speed of the approach scared him and it sat on the ground from that day. It disappeared from there about 20+ years ago. BTW, this is one of my favorite aircraft especially in the 6 and 8 gun nose variants.

  2. Hi Brett. Its good to see another Warbird being reborn to fly again. I know how difficult it is to build a prototypical model. The bigger the scale the more you have to do. I know that you will do the High Maintenance guys proud. Good luck.

  3. What a modelers dream to see the details. Be sure to get a close up of the panels and rivets, model manufacturers can't reproduce those, even ICM, but there are techniques we can use . Didn't know about Enid, was at Vance many years ago ( big mountain ranges πŸ™‚ ). I wonder if Bob knows " The Spirit of Big Spring", owner is gone now but he sold her. I suspect it may still be out there somewhere. ICM is a great company but they've been slipping a little bit on their research, ( their Vietnam Era kit has a few mistakes) and gotten a little pricey

  4. Nice to see this. One of the benefits of living in Arizona is being near the CAF facility at Falcon Field. Love WW 2 aircraft and a few from others as well. Looks like a challenge Brett but from my perspective placed well in capable hands.

  5. I don’t think Bob ever gave his full name & the name of the organization of the A-26. I can’t think of a better modeler to build a 1/48 model for these fine people.

  6. WHOAH! I never knew there was a museum in Provo! My grandparents used to live in Riverton, and when I would go visit them from California, my grandfather and I would go to Hill air museum and even Wendover. What a small world!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this endeavor! Good luck!

  7. Well they are both going to be intriguing builds to follow along with. I do foresee some serious "Brett-ing" on this one, problem is you've got to wait for Bob (et al) to actually create the reality before you can model it.
Thanks for sharing this with us, we're going to enjoy coming along for the ride.
    Regards….
