High Driven Duck Shoot | Hundreds of Mallard!! | Lots of Shooting

These are probably some of the most challenging driven duck I have ever shot at!

Very high, lots of birds to pick from and drifting at all angles. This was a very challenging day but a great day all the same.

I shot the Hull High Pheasant Extreme Steel 3 32g Hydro wad which was good for up to 40 yards but just not heavy enough for the really high birds.

On the final drive I changed and used some of the Gamebore Dark Storm Steel and was very impressed with some of the ducks I took!!

I want to dispatch the birds cleanly so being realistic on range became very obvious when using steel..

Steel is very new to me and Iโ€™m going to have to keep testing to find what works for me. I feel a pattern testing day is on the cards!

I hope you enjoy the video.

Hot Barrels,

Rob.

  1. You have a nice smooth shooting style. I use a go pro, never feel they capture shooting high birds very well. The shotkam and your phone showing you shoot works well. When you get more views you can pay someone to film you. Big leagues then.

  2. Hello Mr Speed.
I love my shooting and I shoot a lot, so I'm certainly not an anti. And I absolutely love your videos.
But I have to say this is just not for me. Soooo many pricked birds. Duck are tough birds with a lot of padding and protection. It's not like a high partridge where just 1 or 2 pellets will do the job.
These sort of days just encourage wounding and I don't think it's what shooting should be all about.
Sorry mate, love you and your channel, love shooting, but I just had to say this ๐Ÿ˜”

  3. Sorry Johnny, donโ€™t loose the essence of proper sport, this โ€˜ainโ€™t that.Poor old quackersโ€ฆ.just animated targets. Get out on the foreshore and work for your sport. That pricked hen bird running about on a grassy field is not a good ambassador for the sport.Back slapping your mates for pulling down that sixty yarder is better luck than ballistics. Food for thought.
