I came across an error 228 – item: item error 228 when trying to upgrade my scav case in Escape From Tarkov. After being frustrated, I was able to come up with a work around to allow you to upgrade your hideout. If you are experiencing this issue, check this out.
If you are not experiencing the exact error, I would contact BSG support just to be safe. I don’t want to accidentally have your scav junk box full of items disappear.

omg this worked, took forever i had 3 scav cases. it was the last one i tried
Honestly I’m quite shocked that this was the solution, but thanks a lot, I didn’t really want to contact support for this issue, I also had my scav case parts inside the scav case and I kept getting it when leaving.
