Hi YouTube, I’m back – channel & life update

I’m back on YouTube! Where have I been? Over the past year, I’ve taken some time away from this platform to focus on personal growth, exciting business ventures, and my mental fitness podcast The Stompcast. But now, I’m so excited to return with a fresh perspective and a even more passion for creating mental fitness content.

In this video, I’ll share some of the most important life lessons I’ve learned during my time away – lessons about balance, resilience, and finding purpose. I’ll also talk about the exciting direction I want to take this channel in: expect videos that inspire, educate, and motivate every Sunday.

We’ll explore mental fitness tips, wellbeing hacks, and a peek into my day-to-day life as I build my business, write more books, stomp on the weekly and of course advocate for mental health wherever I go.

What are you looking forward to most from this channel’s return? Let me know in the comments! And don’t forget to share what mental fitness tips or topics you’d like to see next – I’m here to help.

  1. Good to see you looking so well Alex. I had wondered where you'd disappeared to but thought I must have unsubscribed but I hadn't.
Good to see back on YouTube again but maybe slow down your speech just a little bit as it's hard to keep up with all that you're saying. 😊

  2. Hello Alex, My son is 13 and has recently been diagnosed with ADHD , we are learning everyday how to manage life, emotions , mood and challenges. Would love to hear any insight you have on your experiences with ADHD. I know everyone is different however your opinions will still be appreciated . xx

  3. Yes! Leaning into the rain 🙂 The day before my cat had intestinal surgery I was so scared it might be her last day, so we spent most of the day outside and when it poured it down and Lexi didn't want to go back inside yet I said 'I will sit with you in the rain for as long as you want.' Luckily it wasn't her last day.

  4. Hi there Dr. Alex et al.

Glad to see you on YouTube. You're such an inspiration to me through your candour and your perseverance.

I also have ADHD, have Autism too and I live with mental health issues (depression, generalised Anxiety disorder and psychosis).

I feel like I need to work at my mental fitness, as you do everyday. I also lost a relative to suicide sadly, so can identify with your story.

Managing ADHD can be challenging, but I feel inspired that you have it too and have achieved so much at a young age.

I look forward to hearing about your coping strategies and techniques for ADHD.

I wish you every success with your relaunch of your YouTube channel and look forward to tuning in 🙂

  5. 100 per cent take the opportunity to chat to others, particularly the older generation. I learnt so much in sales and marketing at a luxury care home from the residents, they all had stories to tell and wise advice to share. I was working with living history everyday. Welcome back!

  6. Hi Alex. Really great to see you back on YouTube and I always have enjoyed Stompcast too. I find the podcast content so useful for everyday life and comforting with the outdoors element. Very interested to learn more about your sobriety journey, I am not sober however would be really interested to know more about the things you have mentioned here with coping better with stress and social situations without the pressure of drinking alcohol. I also have suspected ADHD (awaiting official diagnosis on NHS but pretty sure I have this too). Look forward to your upcoming videos and congrats on 2 years sobriety, well done xx

  7. Your book The Mind Manual became my go to book when I wake feeling anxious in the middle of the night . I’m buying another copy as I passed mine on to a friends husband who is suffering from depression and anxiety . I’ve also pointed him to the mettle app . I would not have the tools to help others if you had not written that book so thank you .

  8. I’m such a dance in the rain-person, actually literally dancing in the rain 😂 People either think I’m a bit weird (words from my boss, in a jokingly sense) or they just laugh with me and enjoy it 😍

  9. Great that you are OK Alex. I clicked on your name in my Subscriptions only a few days ago as I was wondering if you had posted. Then bingo, the first YouTube post for a while popped up. Anything health related with a sprinkle of fun is what you do so well. The style of video is great.

  11. Great to see you back Dr Alex. You're an amazing person, so just seeing you do what you do each day is interesting. Like your chat to that elderly lady, sometimes it's just nice taking a coffee and chatting to someone or just being alone with your own thoughts.

  12. Hi Alex! Honestly, I didn't know about you or heard about you just until September. Then I googled you and read you joined Love Island UK and other negative articles. At first, I thought oh he's not that of a good guy. But then, I watched your videos on Instagram and Tiktok and I realized, you're a person with a good heart. I started following you here and your other social media. I have listend to some of the episodes in Stompcast. Continue in what you do and your passion for mental fitness. You seem to be a humble and down to earth guy. Oh I don't know if you'll be reading this. 🤭😊 I'm from the Philippines by the way. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to more of your videos. One more thing, Rolo is adorable, he is so bevahed. 😊🩷

  13. A lovely video, Dr. Alex! Glad to hear that you’re back on YouTube!

It would be good if you did some videos on how to manage anxiety. It was lovely to hear about the conversation you had with that lovely lady. The point that she made about not always finding answers really stuck out to me. Thank you for sharing. 💙

  14. I'm your biggest fan, I've been following your career for 2 years and I'm fascinated. I have all 4 books, they have helped me through a difficult time and they still have to help me until I get through it. So many of your words make me think and give me strength. Thank you very much 🫶❤️

  15. I trust in your words and think about them a lot. Especially that you say: you can achieve anything you want, you just have to believe in it. And I firmly believe that you will realise one of my messages at some point. Even if it takes another two years. I'm not giving up.🫶

  16. Dr Alex, I am very excited to see you on YouTube. I am a Stompcast regular, and I am looking forward to seeing a more relational side of you and your journey. Alcohol free living is such a worthwhile lifestyle endeavor. As a senior adult (73) living in the USA, I would also thank you for the respect you gave us in this episode. You are right in that we do not have it all figured out, but we do have years of life experience and still have something to contribute to conversations. All the best. Paul

  17. Focus on girls and women with adhd would be amazing to see you talk about and create a better awareness of.

I’m struggling to get my daughters school to take my flags seriously because she’s not fitting the old school adhd tick boxes. It’s making me sad, I’m constantly being met with “but she’s not naughty”.
GP says they can’t refer anymore so it’s all via the school.

So many girls and women being missed because of this.

I can only imagine the amount of undiagnosed young girls and teen girls really struggling because they’re not getting the right support.

  20. Hi Alex, i think a great link up for either a video or Stompcast episode would be Aaron Crascall. He is a great guy and he is also living alcohol free and just completed 1 year sober.
Also I think u can still do a mix of videos including stuff about adhd would help as well. Or even have this channel and then a second channel for less structured/edited stuff like general blog hobbies stuff. Keep doing what you're doing, it's helping alot of people 😁
