  2. A lot of the time the players are frustrated from bad calls throughout the game, not just their present at bat. I’m not saying all players are saints( they’re not), but the frustration has usually been building for a while. Check out Jomboy Medias’ video, “Schwarber loses his mind on Angel Hernandez, a breakdown” for a hilarious example of this exact issue.

  3. The reason why nobody in the dugout reacts most of the time is because, at some point in their career, they''ve been there. It happens to EVERYONE at one point or another… or multiple times.. whether they explode or not they understand the frustration. Baseball is WAY harder than it looks.

Also, not sure if you know this or not. There is a rule that if you argue balls and strikes it's an automatic ejection. You can voice displeasure with the umpires strike zone by quesstioning the pitch's location ("Where was that pitch?"), but you can't say "That was a BALL!"

  4. baseball umpires demand respect but they're famous for being bad they're under their own union so the MLB can't regulate the umpires so if they do bad it's up to the union to decide what happens which sucks for consistency

  5. There's a clip of Joc Pederson during the pandemic when there was no crowd where after he swings and misses you can hear him go "F*cking God Damn it URGHHHHHHHHHH" lmao

  6. You can't argue ball and strikes in MLB. The games would never end if they allow it, so the umps are quick to throw you out if you make more than a token protest. However, I am usually on the side of the player. Baseball players are a passionate and tightly wound bunch and it doesn't take much to set them off.

I remember wait for what seemed like ages, for my at-bat and if I ever felt cheated out of a call I'd be fuming for the rest of the game. But I was also a pitcher and hated getting cheated out of calls there too. Sometimes you just can't win in baseball. No matter what, you're going to go home angry. ♣

  7. I've seen crazier reactions than this. I forgot who it was, but I believe he played for the Dodgers, but he got thrown out of a game and threw a bunch of bats onto the field when he went to the dugout.

  8. Umping is really difficult and for the most part umpires do a really good job, but there are definitely some umps out there who think the world revolves around them and they ruin things for the good umpires. There have been some really great young umpires who have broken into MLB in the last few years though
