Gyro might be travelling to the dark continent right this moment to find items, weapons, powers, dark continent allies, etc. Maybe everybody is going to die on the dark continent and the only one to return with calamity is gyro. It would mean that gon is the only one to stop him when he returns.
He will be the villan for Gon and Killua after Dark Continent Arc it will be a great Reintroduction for them.

Thank God you mentioned the anime leading to making watchers think gyro is merume. This was my conclusion at first until I paid closer attention and realized that it was kinda a missing plot point.

Mangakas need to stop letting Americans do the English translations because Americans butcher so many things in the English language, to the point of it not making sense in English, let alone to other native speakers. It's "Couldn't care less" not "Could care less". Could care less implies that they do care somewhat, even if it’s almost not at all. Couldn't care less means they literally do not care at all and it would be impossible to care less – which is the true meaning behind what was said.

You stated that Gon and Gyro are inverse characters. I love that you said that. Most people believe Ging is a terrible guy who couldn't care less about his son. Gyro's father hated him and did nothing for him. He didn't care if he died. But everything Ging has done since Gon's birth has directly or indirectly been to keep Gon safe and help him to become stronger. I love this show.

why are u assuming so much about the character lol and you don't even seem to understand some pretty basic stuff like why Meruem is so powerful. He ate thousands of people including hundreds of nen users, some very powerful ones as well.
My guess for what Hunter x Hunter's story will lead to is Beyond bringing back a new extinction level threat/becoming one. Causing the entire Hunter's association to combat a new threat.
If the Climax is not related to Beyond than I beleive Gyro or Paristan will be the next big antagonists. Gyro might make a hatsu that could cause chaos. Paristan could use the knowledge of The Dark Continent to create more scenarios to taunt Cheatle or Gin.
If it's true that Yamato is not joining the Straw Hats, I hope that we at least get Welfin on our side in HxH
Btw, thank you for drawing attention to & emphasizing, near the End of the video, how this could involve Welfin just as Well. (Now a little less peeps will doze off at his scenes when they're rewatching/reading the manga for the first time)
