Hell. Yes.
Great video. My older brother had these miniatures back in the 1980s and did a great job of painting them. We also had a pack which had Verminard, Toede and a few dracconians. I remember enjoying them back in the day though the Raistlin pose was a bit too dramatic.
Thank you for watching today's Dragonlance Mail Time episode. Have you ever owned these old school minis? Do you prefer modern minis to these? Leave a comment below!
YES! This box gets me so excited (the opposite of Raistlin's staff when you first opened the box haha). I have this original boxed ser that I painted (badly) back in the day and then a second set about 12 years ago that I'm using right now in my home campaign with my wife and son that was painted a little better (still not great). The nostalgia is off the charts with this one. These old miniatures are such better quality than the cheap plastic ones that are made today in my opinion. I strongly recommend painting these unless you are saving them for their collector value (then I understand). I've gotten so much enjoyment painting the little details on these, like Raistlin's pouches, and it's one of the most relaxing and fulfilling activities I've ever done. I'm currently working on painting the Draconians set now. Thanks!
Thats so awesome
I parted with the vast majority of my D&D collection over 25 years ago. But thankfully, I had stored all my TSR Dragonlance box sets (Heroes, Villains, Red Dragon, Silver Dragon, Draconians) and the Forgotten Realms Heroes set (among manynother loose Ral Partha amd Grenadier minis.
Recently, I was presented with them and I nearly broke down when he gave them to me. They were all in perfect unpainted condition still in thier unscuffed boxes.
After years of painting GW products and improving greatly over time, I'm finally ready to do them justice at some point soon.
I have laurana and soth somewhere
I still have these minis just wished i kept the box as well
I still have those minis, mine are the lead ones so they are a bit more bendy. This was what I consider Ral Partha's golden age. The sculpts were excellent throughout the AD&D range as a whole. Sadly I got rid of a lot of the minis when money got tight after I left the army, but thankfully I kept these! These are so much better than the stuff out currently. You just don't get the level of crisp detail in the resin (or even worse soft plastic) that you can with metal.
i love the old school pewter minis. Plastic is way too cheap feeling.
That Ralidium was weird stuff If I remember correctly it crackled when you bent it back into shape.
I had these when i was a kid, worked in a store that sold this stuff along with all things gaming. Some of the best years of my life, good times.
Where did you buy this from? I used to have mine but darren hurricane florence everything I have is destroyed😢

I loved painting my Ral Partha minis. I miss the cool packaging and the detail. I got into Reaper after Ral Partha stopped making them. Reaper were awesome but for me Ral Partha will always mean AD&D to me.
