'Hero' policewoman runs to confront Sydney knife attacker

A mother has died after being stabbed by a knife-wielding man who went on a killing rampage in Sydney, with surgeons racing to save her nine-month-old baby’s life.

The mother died in hospital, bringing the total number of victims to six people, while her baby was stabbed in the stomach, Australian media reported.

An eye-witness described how he attempted to use shirts from the shopping centre to compress the baby’s wounds and stop it from bleeding. “There was a lot of blood on the floor. I hope the baby is all right,” he told 9News Sydney.

  1. Mental illness, the new asymmetric threat to everyone, including babies.
And all the fundraising, awareness and virtue signalling ain’t gonna stop any of it as well as this fine officer did.

  3. 🔥 These Western news channels are disgrace to honest journalism. When they found out Joel Cauchi was Christian, they started calling him mental patient. If he had been muslim, they would have called it terrorist…

  5. To add on a comment below: HOORAY for this lady policewoman!: This proves when she signed up to this job that she understood she would serve and protect the public she swore to do, NO MATTER WHAT. This policewoman deserves a medal of bravery and courage.

  6. Why are the mentally ill on the streets in the first place? “Care in the Community” is why… Another great idea by corrupt western governments. Get them out of our Parliaments and let’s get decent humans in instead.

  7. Sydney people have no-one to blame but themselves for supporting a government that allows anyone to buy unlimited property which has caused massive greed resulting in property prices being pushed to levels many people can't afford for purchase or renting causing huge rises in homelessness which causes massive stress and in some cases drives people to murder. The government should limit residential property ownership to 1 per person.
