  1. Online search showed that there was a business ran out of this house called RSC Enterprises. They were a mechanical engineering firm. Not sure if the business was actually still run out of the house or not. But I thought it was interesting.

  2. Is this a normal and permitted construction practice, to put a 500 gallon propane tank under a house? Who lived in this house and did they have DC connections? Or was this a building IED? The execution is consistent in that the explosion did not occur intil the first responders were inside. Are there any connections between this event and the one in Fairfax County?

  3. There is a lot not being said here. Was FD on site prior to the explosion? Was the tank buried in the yard or in the basement, as some have suggested? What of the residents?
Condolences to the family and friends of the fallen Firefighter.

  4. 500 gallon massive propane bomb, you'd expect a massive fireball – yet look at all that fine, flammable twiggery in the immediately adjacent trees, unscathed, unburned. Seems odd. If not burning from the fireball, you'd expect the blast force itself would knock down more off those trees.
