  1. That is sad, but the problem with making a clear headed decision with a brain that is definitely impaired, is really a long shot! Don't get drunk! Does it really make what you are doing with friends more enjoyable? Be with friends who would stop you from getting behind the wheel. He took someone's life! No amount of prison time will bring that person back,. If he never gets to play football again, that's on him!

  2. ABOUT TIME! Felt like this guy was really trying to GET OFF…he finally realized he HAD to do real time, not house arrest with visits to playland. Terrible all the way around. A young woman died horribly and this dude fried himself just to floss…too bad someone died for society to see this guy was a danger. Didn't learn from his friend's loss…maybe he will learn from his own.

  4. That’s a JOKE from him to get 3-10 years I hope not only does he never succeed at ANYTHING in life I also hope he has to feel the pain that poor women and her dog felt burning alive times 10!

  6. Our justice system isn’t the slightest in fairness though so Il never understand why people try and compare cases. Henry Ruggs had money to get decent lawyers, and a bunch of other factors in his case that affect the outcome. Ofc it’s not right, but that’s how it works here. That kid didn’t have the money, lawyers, knowledge, or support that Ruggs was able to afford, and that makes the difference in the end and as Americans we all know our justice system is bullshit

  7. It's about sending a message and the fact Ruggs got a lighter sentence speaks volumes on where we are as a society. Empathy for those who dare to drive drunk is not something I will be on board with whatsover. The victims family will always get my sympathy first before the defendant.

  8. Now I'm curious if he gets 3 years let's say is house arrest credited? Also do they get out early for time in there like half? Now it's a horrible crime but I'm but I think 5-10 years is right but that's my opinion on drunk drivers if you disagree I get it

  9. 90% of all of the “saints” in these comments have driven drunk before. Rip to the girl and her dog, as well as prayers for Henry and his family. Despite what you justice warriors say, he is a good guy that made a horrific decision.

  10. This is so wrong. I could only imagine what the family feels about 3-10 years. Worse enough to know they let him leave the house to “not waste his god given talent”. They should throw him in a prison for life and feed him ramen until he the day he dies. This was completely avoidable.

  11. The crime of DUI is bad and when it results in death it is real bad for me it is at least 20 years. Corresponding to at least twenty good years of this victim's life.
Everybody who gets a driver's license is told this basic rule of preserving life. you can argue that he has his whole life ahead of him what about her life ?????

  12. This is such crap!! I've got friends that got 3 years just for getting a 3rd DUI…no accident evolved in any of them. This young woman lost her life and you( you being our very biased and unfair unless your rich law system) are going to give him 3 to 10!!! What a slap in her families face!! If that was my daughter I would be waiting on the other side of those gates!! No matter the consequences!! This really freaking disgusts me!!!

  13. Nothing can ever bring peace and justice to that family! They will have a huge sum from the upcoming wrongful death civil suits against Ruggs, the Raiders, and Top Golf all were responsible by allowing him to drive in that condition! At the Raiders event alone there are claims he had 18 shots, and they let him drive? Went to Top Golf and drank more, and they let him drive too! Naqvi will be calling!

  14. He is a careless murderer who decided to get insanely high and drive at over 100 miles per hour on a public highway at night killing an innocent woman. I do not believe in the death penalty but he certainly deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

The only reason you could disagree with that is because you’re a mindless American peasant with the notion that celebrities are above the law

  15. 3 to 10 doesn't mean he walks out after 3 unless there is an agreement if he completes programs etc… a lot of states make you serve 85% of your max for crimes resulting in violence or death. Not sure about nevada though.
