these people are doing more harm to their own cause than they understand. 10 years ago when i saw a black character in a videogame, or movie i didnt even think twice about it. even in case of race swaps in movies, the were usually just hired because they were the best actors available to the studio, like morgan feeman in shawshank redemption. the same with many different places in the real world.
today, the first thing that comes to my mind is "diversity hire", and the assumption that this person hasnt actually earned their position but was hired to tick off some sort of checkbox and the only thing i can think about is that someone like sweet babies employees must have been in charge there. infact this has went so far that ive actively started to avoid media that has brown people, and/or women with colored hair on the cover because i just expect it to be full of this kind of political messaging by default.
this is just what really happens when you force these unreasonable quotas, and force your ideology on everyone. it just turns people hypersensitive to the smallest hint of a product having this kind of political content and turns them off.

If Pokemon was about presenting the same cultures than in the real world (latino, portugese), then pokemon would be about Earth, not a fictional planet. Just what the fuck they are doing. Such obvious copy-paste name ("latinx") is 100% breaking the immersion. Just put people of colors, with their own cultures, without copy-past name from the real world.
Video game are about escapisme. When you play pokemon, it's about the discovery of un UNKOWN WORLD. Not a history class with numerous mispelling errors. Don't copy-paste nationality and culture, just use it as reference to create new cultures specific of the pokemon world. AT LEAST change the name so it doesn't break the immersion.
This is exactly what's wrong with DEI employee. Even when they have no good ideas, or no more good ideas, they will do the dumbest shits, just to say "Look! I am still usefull, don't fire me !". Those people are thinking pokemon is a tourism agency of the real world, and not a fictionnal world for escapism. You can put in pokemin people of colors, LGBT, or neurodivergent people, WITHOUT having to copy-past the real world.
Right now, it's all about vanity project. It's all about making a LGBT Gym from what you are saying, instead what's needed : the normalisation of people from minority. Put autistic characters with non autistics characters. Put LGBT characters with non LGBT. Put people of colors, with people with other colors, including white !
The utopia is not a world where every group is fighting each other, but a world where people can be friends, or more, whatever their difference between them. This "Us vs them" mentality is a poison.

As a Latino myself, yes, withouth the stupid X, why would you like to form gangs in a job? The reason to evolve, exchance knowledge and networking is to be at the same level as everyone, the Latino Community sometimes is really toxic among itself. Is better to share experiences with different cultures and people and not create gangs as we are in a school restaurant.

The problem comes from enforcing these ideologies into the way SBI does, if an indie/AAA dev supports LGBT groups out of their own volition and conscious then ITS NOT AN ISSUE that’s what they want to do and that’s fine, but what’s not fine it’s forcing change into something that’s not supposed to have these changes.
There’s a way to make the public accept and even engage and enjoy LGBT characters in very organic manners, but basically resorting to extortion to force devs to include them then it’s quite obvious that there’s going to be backlash.

You know Game Freak was already going stupid and very half assed, the fact that they are going in all DEI/ESG is telling. They were spitting out half completed games since like their X/Y games. As much as I liked those gen 6 games, I ultimately hated them too. Gen 7 and up to gen 9 are really no better. Gen 4 remakes are complete crap and very glitchy. It is apparent that Game Freak shuts fan games and other Rom Hacks down immediately and without warning. Now that the nostalgia smoke is clearing and gone, I effing hate Game Freak for not hiring those fan made game projects or Rom Hacks or increasing hired help. It is very telling that Game Freak is doing the most bottom minimum and porting the graphics over from the last and making more crap content and even more glitchy stupid glued together made games. Can't love 'em any more nor can we all trust Game Freak or even Nintendo to back other people or modders or even fan projects as mentioned before that they can't wait to shut down. My point is that shut ost music playlists down and before mentioned people down and then crap out railroad landmine doggy turds and cat liter boxes of "current msde content." Nintendo goes DEI/ESG then I'm out and for good. And that will be it. No more and no less

The setting and atmosphere was so inmmersive. At the garage you unlock a detail station to customize your car.
And then, automatically 23 different sexual symbols unlock and are showed one by one on the screen feed for a good 2 minutes.
Then, if you want to use one of the stickers you find on the world, you have to Scroll down.
If you mention this on the steam forums, you get banned.
