Heavy Rain Hits the Farm with Twenty Four Animals Taking Refuge in the House | The Farm

We had a lot of rain on and off over the weekend. The kids enjoyed racing bottle top lids in the rainwater rivers. The dogs enjoyed coming along for the adventure as always. Even Crispy the Golden Retriever came out in the rain for a family adventure. There were a few tears, Wolfie a little tired at the end of the day and a slip and a graze in the mud. But nothing a nice warm shower and getting into your pajamas can’t fix. An early evening inside drying off all the dogs and Dingoes. Each of the 20 dogs, 2 Dingoes, 2 cats and 5 humans under the same roof as the rain continued outside. A Children’s movie on the TV and popcorn, it was a real treat!

There is snippets of the movie playing in the background, apologies for the noise. Have tried not muting it this time, not sure though how that goes with YouTube.

  1. Pooh Sticks, Oz-style! Shadow's black coat combined with that teal-colored collar, pretty, and her eyes so loving. All tumble-together joyful day. All Creatures Great and Small…thanks!

  2. This is the most marvelous childhood!!! The kids are so loving. What a great job mom and dad are doing. I can't imagine drying off all those animals and kids. I hv 5 dogs and it is a struggle for me!! That's IF they will stand still! Much love to everyone. Stay safe. 💓🐾

  3. Great memories for the kids!! Shadow in the big pipe!! She didn't want any part of that down pour. Miss Violet, stuck behind the vehicle, reminded me of when she was young and would get stuck all the time. What a job, cleaning off and bathing the dogs!!! I'm thinking Gus is really liking his life on the Farm!!!

  4. I love this video of the kids playing in the rain and Luke and Wolfie water adventure and the dogs and humans during the downpour. The wet part the dry part and when Wolfie says “ Thank you dad” when he undoes the seatbelt!
One of my favorite videos of the Farm. Really love you all . Humans and animals ♥️♥️♥️💎😎🤩👍🏾

  5. So much fun in this video!! I love seeing kids get to be out having fun with their family all together! Its great to see Lily getting to be part of the runs again, we all know how much she doesn't want to miss out! Even standing in the heavy rain making sure nothing happens without her! Evie with her pants rolled up above her knees, and then worrying about her glasses. She's so cute! Making great memories as a family! ❤

  6. Hi everyone. Sam and Luke, you probably already know this but Dee's Central Coast Facility is hit…badly… with Parvo and she had to close down. She needs donations. It looks like a dire situation. Please, anyone that can help Dee, send in a donation. Thank you:)

  7. Please delete if this is not appropriate. I have just seen a video from Dee and Tahne about their current crisis created by people who load them with sick dogs (Parvo). They are trying to save 3 dogs and are asking for help with the veterinary expenses.

  8. What a fun time racing bottle caps! I had to laugh at most of the dogs in the garage with Sam while Luke & the kids out in the pouring rain! What a job drying off the dogs, but they all appreciate your care.

  10. Luke, when I saw you having bottle-cap adventures with Wolfie, and "two men" having a great time, it reminded me of "Iron John", by Robert Bly, a book I can highly recommend as the conscientious father that you are clearly being. In it, he discusses how, since the Industrial Revolution, boys have been lacking contact with their fathers, and the life of a man. Instead of a place like The Farm, where Wolfie is lucky enough to be around you through the day, each day, most boys get, instead of "the father's essence", "the father's attitude, left over from a day in the workplace"; a void which is filled in many an unhealthy way, as nature abhors one. I've always enjoyed watching you, Sam and the pack, but now it's a great pleasure to get to watch Wolfie's maturation, and your thriving relationship. Cheers mate!
