Heating Up and Healing!

Has it really been a week? Hope this finds you well! Things sure did heat up in a hurry and horses are slowly healing. We are back to cool February weather now which gave me a hankering for vegetable soup. See below for what I put in it – it was good! Let me know if you try it. We appreciate you being here! Until next time, Farm Hard Live Well, The Bernards

Mer’s (Everything But Kitchen Sink) Vegetable Soup
1 lb browned ground round (say that 3 times fast)
1 large jar hunts pasta sauce
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 can corn
½ bag frozen lima beans
3-4 small potatoes, cut up in bite size pieces
2 cups beef broth
Southwest seasoning to taste

Use whatever vegetables you have! Good vegetable soup is easily tweaked. Enjoy!

  1. Hello I heard you say you are having trouble with ticks on your horses. We also live where we have ticks and I asked my vet they said to use Duvall dewormer on our horses every 3 months if you have not already tried it that would be good to try.

  2. Since I live in Nebraska, what is a Nebraska wind? In my grand state which has God's Own Cattle Country which includes things called blowouts, the old adage is that it is so windy because Iowa sucks. ; – )

  3. Over the years of keeping the Larder stocked the way I like, I make a list of things that I take out to cook with so when I go to the store I can remember what I used. At eighty-two grocery list is always my first order of business. With out list I would never get through the day. My memory isn't what it use to be. Good Luck and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Amen!!!

  4. I watch Family Traditions homestead and they make a real good repellent for their cows I’m sure it would work on the ponies. They’re really nice Christian folks look them up I’m sure you won’t be disappointed ❤

  5. Thanks for sharing the video Meredith. Good to see y'all enjoy the nice weather. Looks like y'all have been busy. You are so right about the Young Farmers and Ranchers being the future of agriculture. Glad to see the horses are doing ok. Hope they soon get over it and get back to normal.

  6. It’s great to hear about the boys. Will the flies lay eggs inside their wound? Wesley is going to have a blast. Austin and Wesley do a great job keeping up with their horse. Awe, so sweet seeing Austin and dad riding. Mr. He’s so sweet 😂 looks so good. Yes, he looks like he’s a little bit behind Mr. He’s So Sweet. When I was growing up my momma used to always say, winter isn’t over until we have an Easter snap where we get another cold front. Glad you got some rest. I use hamburger meat in our soup. If I don’t put what I need as far as groceries into my grocery app cart as soon as I see I need it, I won’t get it. That looks really yummy. It’s so great to hear that our future farmers are still learning and growing into being our great generation, thank you we need y’all. Great video, even got a thumbs up out of Wesley in the beginning. ❤️
