Fun story. Needs a Part II. π
Stupid dialog by Cedrick had to move forward to eliminate the bad dialogue quick quips not impressive very bad. Again had to move story ahead to avoid the bad dialogue

Good story. If her ship is spaceworthy, the option to leave the planet is open, but either way, I assume they'll be a couple going forward. If they're permanently stranded, that seems fairly certain. If she's the last of her kind, remaining would be like living in a cemetery, so not sure whether she's tied to it. It would be nice to know. He'd be a popsicle if not for her, so it's hard to understand why he hesitated to help her. Only criticism is the abrupt ending.
Sounds like a part two needs to happen. Now they have ruined the machine, she has a craft (but he doesn't), so looks like there is definitely more to come.
