Jim Morrison died July 3, 1971.
That’s Fifty Three, – not 25 years ago .
But he was of course a great artist and gone much too soon.
R.I.P.
I was thinking he was a drug abusing dummy, was there more to it?
When??? Lols
53 years 😉
Jim Morrison's life was truly a rollercoaster of talent, controversy, and mystery.
Frankly, I think he was way overrated.
Morrison never exposed himself on stage. They were all out to get him down in right wing Miami. At the time people like Anita Bryant were holding so-called decency rallies, against the type of person & lifestyle that Jim personified. It was all BS. Also, in New Haven, he was backstage making out with a fan when a cop hired for security maced him in the eyes. So, a guy hired to work security for the band maces the lead singer of the band in the eyes. The outcome? Jim is arrested, again for supposed inciting a riot. Again, it's BS. Jim should have quit drinking when Michael McClure did. Instead, he went to Paris & ended up ODing on dope intended for Pamela, when he intercepted it at the Rock n' Roll Circus nightclub in Paris. He was found dead in a toilet stall & taken back to Pam's apt. They put his body in a warm bath to make it look like he had died there. What a waste. Imagine all the great songs & all the great books of poetry he never wrote.
The Summer Of Love was in 1969,the year I was born. Not 1967 as you said in video.Get your facts straight before you tell a story.
the tragic death of the indians in the accident that he and his parents encountered, with their spirits all around….entering his young mind!
All the loss of great talent at the age of 27,that club. Wow man, what a bummer!😮😮😮😮😮
The fact he was himself. A unique poet first. Shy singer second. I loved the Doors! My older brother had a tribute Doors band when I was a little girl. My first taste to rock n roll” !
I really wished he could’ve time travelled and got help for his addictions! Instead of the many enablers” I saw the Doors” film. Disliked it bc it painted Jim very badly as a trainwreck, while I’ve read long before internet …. He was not just intelligent but funny charasmatic handsome, even good with children!
Oliver Stone I think, you took too many trips yourself…..anyway my movie review was actually the same as Ray Manzarek. RIP. The keyboardist to the Doors. …..I’m sure his sister Anne missed him very much , and his shocking death didn’t leave her where to turn.
Hopefully she was safely away from paparazzi who might ask her ? ……somehow I think she was protected.
I’m wondering if she’s still alive. Im 63 would she be slightly older?
Excuse me math is not my forte !
Love my LAIF… Thanks 😍⭐👏👌❤🖤💫🚬
