I have a theory. Lilith was the one who started prepping Hell to start an uprising against Heaven instigating the annual cleansing. Part 2 of my theory is that Lilith is the one holding Alastor's "leash" because he turned to her for help when Vox was going to kill him and she is using him to officially kick off the uprising. The reason they both disappeared at the same time for 7 years was to plan and for Alastor to recover and the reason he is helping Carlie is both for the entertainment and because it became a part of the plan when Charlie called Lilith and told her about her plan for the hotel.

More like ANY of them could be next, and they're afraid to find out the truth/disrupt the status quo and risk falling. It's not purely a threat imo; it's also begging to not try and navigate this minefield, or they could lose those they care about (in more ways than one)

I wonder if Lilith is the person that Husk was talking about to Alaster that made him lose his cool. They both left hell several years before the beginning of the series; and while Alaster is extremely powerful with few able of subduing him, being hell's equivalent to Adam may be enough to put Lilith on the list of ones capable of the feat.
Plus, if Alaster does secretly owe his soul to someone else, Lilith match as someone having the motive to direct him as her hand in assisting her daughter's redemption project from beyond the shadows. As well as giving motive towards his goal of nudging Lucifer away from Charlie.
I'm thinking there's a reason Adam looks like an imp, and was let into Heaven despite acting like like all the other Hell-based characters in this show and Helluva Boss.

my favorite detail is that Sera doesn't refute Emily's assertion that the souls in hell are innocent. She just changes the subject. She knows something about how souls get sent to hell, and she knows it isn't fair, but she won't say anything.
I’m surprised that so far o body recognized the golden fiddle reference that Lucifer played during the battle song between him and Alastor. Has no one ever listened to The Charlie Daniels Band’s hit “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”? I’m guessing that at some point Lucifer went back and reclaimed his fiddle from Johnny.
