idk about y’all but i’m obsessed with the change of tone im 1:23 from adam to emily. the piano and her voice are just 🤌 it shows from her voice the she was took way put of guard and feeling betrayed by Sera
My 2 favorite parts of this is 1. Adam and Lutes duet we already knew Adam could sing and with Lute 👌 2. Emily and Charlie’s duet seeing how Emily risked becoming a fallen angel for a demon and when she heard about the exterminations she instantly went against it plus Charlies strong power in this song trying to keep her cool but failing. Overall this is one of my favorite Hazbin Hotel songs.
God, I never realised that when Emily fully comprehends what Sera has done at 1:51 she gets an eye on her halo and her dress. It could represent her finally seeing through Sera and Heavens bullshit rules. Just a theory tho
Just realised, Emily's dress has an emblem similar to an eye and she has multiple pairs of wings. Emily's design is loosely based on biblically accurate angels.
i know her name is "sera" as in seraphim, but i can't help myself but hear the biblical "sarah", as in the wife of abraham/meaning princess or female leader. it would be a very fitting name for a lead angel of her position and also match with emily also being a biblical name.
Im curious about the intention of this show and the thoughts behind it. I'm a Christian and was originally turned off by the show for reasons you'd expect but if you ask me the demon looking angels act like religious people who use the Bible and God and twist them for their own use and excuses to be hateful and seem holyer then thou and it's by their works they are saved rather then The blood of Jesus and the Sacrifice he made. I'm just concerned if they twist the truth themselves.
When Lute showed Angel all sad and regretful after saying he already messed up, it is upsetting. Yeah, obviously there are some sinners (cough the monster known as Val cough) that just can’t be forgiven, but then there’s sinners like Charlie who made mistakes in life and do deserve a second chance in death if they want to. The Angels were killing indiscriminately, without even trying to find alternatives for people who could be saved and people who truly should not exist in the same realm with free rein anymore. That’s what Charlie is trying to change.
