Alastor is up to something with how he immediately put himself between Lucifer and Charlie.
Honestly I am glad we have a better look what lucifer is like. Also Husker basically told us Alister is working towards something, it has to be Lilith.
This was such a sweet episode Lucifer was voice perfectly and the music continues to be great
My guess is the only other person who might hold Alistor's leash is probably Lilith. But my guess has always kind of been that he intends to be the power behind the throne, sort of a Littlefinger situation, and he might have been sent to watch over Charlie but he's doing more than he was instructed to.
Where can I watch it for free? Prime video don't support my country
Lucifers anxiety is understandable 🙁 shot down for thinking. Wife whom he loved and wanted to share his ideas with leaves him and takes his true creation. He adores Charlie for who she is and doesnt want her to be crushed and feel like him. He is a typical dad and wants to protect his little sensitive creation. I think Charlie is more of an angel than most of the real angels. Lilith taking that sweetness probably broke him more and made him turn into the… awkward being he is now xD seeing his pride fight with Alastor was not what I was expecting.
I wasnt expecting this in the show this soon. I honestly dont know how i feel about the episode. When it started. I was like "ok. This is going veeeeeery fast. I need it to slow down." I do have lots of questions now about why alastor is actively antagonizing lucifer on purpose. And i really want to know his ulterior motives. Like, he was pissed his friend brought danger to the hotel
yay
hi
I think Alastor is working under Lilith.
Hmm? What’s the difference between Cuphead’s Devil Amd Hazbin Hotel’s Devil?
Dude That Scene With Alastor And Husk….Got Me Chills I Thought He Was Gonna Kill Husk.
Even if Charlie succeeds, that just means Vox has more motive to burn the Hotel to the ground regardless of Alastor's involvement. Remember that Vox was advertising an Exterminator Defense system, if Charlie stops the extermination she will cost Vox a huge amount of money and credibility.
the golden fiddle was a refrence to a song called the devil went down to georgia
Wonder why al got mad after husk saying him on a leash did it trigger something from Alastors past ?
To be fair ep 1 literaly said he lost the will to dream its a nice way of saying lucifer has depression
I was right toppling meant killing
i like how even tho they hsd the depresion thing u could see lucifer is still the sin of pride when his prdes hit he does snap back
On another note, I love that small moment at 1:56 between Charlie and Angel where she's getting past the awkward hello to her dad and Angel gives her a little silent encouragement. He won't admit it (maybe not yet) but he does care 😊
Alastor trying to be Charlie's daddy
why is no one talking about charlies voice going all radio-ey at the beginning
I think Lillith is the owner of Alastor's soul. she hasnt contacted Charlie in 7 years and Alastor disappeared 7 years ago before the show and she split with Lucifer. Something is going on there.
I have a strong feeling that Alaster is leashed by Lilith
3:06 ohh my god lucifer's reaction is just 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤
I love how this song turns into that one part in who framed roger rabbit where daffy and Donald fight over playing the piano lol
Dad beat dad and we had Lucifer vs Alistair.
Alastor is tied to Lilith, I don't know how but he is
Not the devil pulling out his golden fiddle! That is such a nice touch.
I understand why Lucifer was depressed, he lost his will to dream. I thought at first that he was a selfish asshole who didn't support his daughter. But after watching this episode, I realize that he wanted to protect Charlie from Heaven which proves that he still loves her and support her.
Love the gold fiddle reference.
Guess he got it back from Johnny.
Love everything about this show, except for its pacing. It’s like chugging through your chocolate milk and not pausing to enjoy the taste between sips, it’s just blowing through so fast. 8 episodes is just so short. 16 episodes, 4 episodes a week, 25 mins each woulda been plenty enough to express Hazbins universe adequately.
Really hope they ditch the 8 episode idea for season two and opt for higher episode counts.
As far as the episodes go, I was really expecting Lucifer to be this huge, unsupportive pile of crap but he actually was quite sweet and I loved him, a lot.
I'm calling it now , Alastair made a deal with Lilith to "cull the herd" so to speak and become a very powerful overlord at the cost of his servitude to Lilith, and Lilith wants him to help charlie accomplish her dream of the hotel
I`m hoping that we see Lucifer in the finale, because Jeremy Jordan he did good at voicing him in this episode.
I like the Lilith theory, but my guess he's probably actually tied to Eve or Roo (Rue? However the heck she spells it),
I LOVE THE FACT LUCIFER BRIEFLY PLAYS A GOLDEN FIDDLE. Nice Devil Went Down to Georgia reference!!!!!
Ya know I feel like most people will gloss over the devil went down to Georgia reference @ 3:47 for those unaware here’s a bit of the lyrics "I guess you didn't know it but I'm a fiddle player too
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you
Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy
But give the devil his due
I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul
'Cause I think I'm better than you"
Calling it now. Alastor is owned by either Lilith or Lucifer. It explains why Alastor has been missing for the same amount of time (7 years) as Lilith and why he is able to bump heads with her husband (the literal king of hell) and survive. All in all I'd say this was a pretty good episode.
Lucifer is A smol bean
I think this is the first time we seen Alastor angry. Not annoyed like he was with the Egg-Minions, amused at Vox, or affronted slightly like when Pentious ripped his coat; but actually seething with anger. He threatened Husk, chased off someone he's been friends with for decades, and killed those loan-shark demons personally rather than summon a horrible monster thing to mess with them. Whatever issue with he has with Lucifer really set him off and, for the entire episode, he is barely containing it. Will we get answers this season or will we have to wait for a season 2?
Idk what i was expecting lucifer to act or be like but a big ol anxiety ridden goofball wasnt it buttttt i enjoy it his character is so well made
This episode sucks.
5:35 He is likely talking about Lilith
Chsrlies phone has some names that are interesting
Azzazzel from the book of enoch a fallen angel who taught men how to make weapons wage war and woman how to make makup
And barbbatos who is a goecia demon
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the sight of Lucifer and Alastor having a dick measuring contest/Dad Off.
I don't know if you clocked this or have learned this, but Lucifer was voiced by Jeremy Jordan, who played Winn in Supergirl. I thought he did great in the role! He really nailed the characters eccentricities and vulnerabilities, and really created a separate version of the character than I've really ever seen him portrayed as before.
My little theory is that Lilith owns Alastor’s soul and he wants to warm up to Charlie because he’s hoping she’ll help him get out of it somehow. Maybe Lilith even sent him to begin with in order to help Charlie but he’s clearly going out of his way to get on her best side. (Would also semi-explain why he it seemed to be on sight with him and Lucifer. His eye was literally twitching the second the door opened)
