JR: "King, what's the matter with you? I expected some remarks about Richard Roundtree or David Carradine?"
King: "Sorry, JR. I just can't get excited today?"
JR: "Why is that, King?"
King: "The greatest wrestling talent of all time passed today?"
JR: "Not Stone Cold?"
King: "No, JR. The legendary Terry Fun!"
JR: "Well, that is a shame, King. It's a loss to the world, for sure."
On another note, seeing David Carradine reminds me of my first Dragoncon. It was late Saturday night and a friend and I were trying to decide what to do next. Carradine comes up, slings his arms around our shoulders, and says: "You should go check out the guy in the piano lounge. I hear it's going to be a great show." As weird as that was, we just went to the movie showings and watched Tales from the Crapper instead. What we didn't know was that David went into the lounge, kicked the piano player out, and took over. They called the cops on him and he got banned from Dragoncon. I should have listened and got to see the best lounge act of all time! Dragoncon is coming up and Carradine is always the first person I think of when I start hearing radio ads for it. I hope the mighty Quai Chang Kane is resting in peace.
Great movie, need this on LD
I appreciate the Carradine joke. The other night I watched Evil Toons. In the beginning Carradine hangs himself. Of course I put it on IG with “too soon?” Great minds I guess.
One of my favorite films…
I was 6 when My Sister brought this movie home on Video. The next day my Mum caught me making plasticine wings on one of my dinosaurs. Mum asked me if I was making a dragon and I said "No I'm Making Q" 😃 It was the first time my sister made that look that women give you when you've said something that could get them in trouble 😜 If you don't know that look, you haven't lived 😉
Bonus points to you Mike for getting a Slayer reference and a Kenny Loggins reference in the same sentence
This was probably one of the very first movies I ever watched on HBO 😹😻
Thanks for making this one. I had a very bad day and this cheered me up.
Michael Moriarty is a fantastic actor. I enjoy watching him in everything he does. The same goes for David Carradine. Simply excellent. A true 80's classic.
Many MANY times! Thanks for covering this classic. Last time I watched this funky flick was on Joe Bob Briggs new show. Have a Maximum Pleasant Week, my man!
Pretty sure this is the other one I remembered. The Dark (1979): https://youtu.be/RbhZU_IF4wI
The Kenny Loggins joke was chefs kiss.
I remember this from when we first had cable TV.
I was 12 or 13 first time we had R rated gore and bresteses.
This was shocking. Now histerical.
So whats the fucking movie called
Panzer Dragoon… Hehe Christ we're old
I remember watching this as a kid on Creature Feature with Dr.Paul Bearer & then later on getting the VHS and then DVD,now I just stream everything 😅, lol.I actually was rooting for Q & da babeez.I will ALWAYS have a soft spot for Q.Thanx Larry and thank you Mike. All the best
Dude, that Beasties/Sabotage clip 😄
Michael Moriarty in this movie always kind of reminded me of a young Bill Burr for some reason. Like when he still had hair. lol
Holy crap! I think it happened! I'm pretty sure we got a Blackout Bingo!
The More You Know
Lance Hendrickson
Hell Yeah
Ian Sara "It Stinks"
Linda Day George "Bastard!"
A Simpsons reference
And a "Christ I'm Old"
I think that's everything. Unless anyone has anything to add?
Glad you covered this old gem. i remember when i first saw it being disappointed that it was a creature and not a Aztec God. But i appreciate it for what it is. Looking forward to your next vid!
The Carradine joke may be to soon but it was a taunt snap. Thanks a lot Mike for an enjoyable review.
Q vs Dionin. Who wins
Damn right I saw it many times!!
"Q – the winged shit-pile" (BMF Cast)
Fun fact…while I never crossed his path, Moriarty spent some time living in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
it's a good day when we get hell yeah and bastard
One of the funniest moments of my life was while watching this with my brother on TV in 1983 (I was 11, he was 10). In the beginning, when Moriarty loses his loot in the street, he spins around and asks (God? the wind? the audience?) very casually, "Where's my f**kin' bag?" We lost it. This was a lot of fun to re-tread with you here now.
Why nobody has done a reboot of this cult classic horror its about time 👍
Always had a soft spot for this one… And my mind went back to Pale Rider .. Moriarty played a fabulous role in that 👍👍👍
Yup, there was more than one nest; more than one egg.
But apparently no explanation why grown men were willingly sacrificing themselves to be ritualistically carved up.
i got to see this in the theatre in high school. god bless the early 80's!!
How many shots of the Chrysler building do we need?
Speaking of looking for brothers, Moriarty does play long lost identical twins in horror-thriller Blood Link (1982).
This legendary B movie gets the bloody popcorn award, no explanation needed.
Huh…the more you know
Seen it a few times then again I may have mental issues from watching so many films from the good old days I still hunt out old B movie's you are god send and have pointed me in the right/wrong direction a few times depending on youroint of view 🤣👍
Love this movie! A true cult classic 🙂
Seen it at the theater when it came out.. Went with my folks.. 😅.. Christ I'm OLD… 🤣
Hey Mike ever considered doing another channel reviewing fantasy/sci fi/post apocalyptic movies especially from the 80's and 90's? The italians especially are a gold mine for movies from those genres. Would love your take on those :).
