HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THIS BEFORE? IT’S WORSE THAN I THOUGHT!

Remember when Mark’s BIG BLOCK 55 Chevy Overheated after I swapped the new ATM e85 Carbs onto his Tunnel Ram?

We figured it was a head gasket. An easy fix! We were WRONG! 🥹 I’ve never seen this happen before.

Also, I finally break down and take my Malibu to @TinSoldierRacecars so I can be LEGAL for @sickthemag SICK WEEK!

  1. Thank you for giving me Vicki for an afternoon. She is an angel. She drove me to 3 dr. appointments in one day. My wrist is broke but in 3 weeks the cast will come off and a brace will go on. All the bruises will go away eventually and I will be fine. Thank you all for the prayers .

  2. had the block been decked previously? if it was a factory broach pad with numbers and it matched a corvette or a camaro it would be worth having welded up if the car existed.
we replaced the oil filter boss and pan rail on a 427 from a Berger COPO. cost 10k to have it furnaced welded and machined.

  3. Lets just say it small tire racing has turned into a big money full blown race car needing a professional team to be competitive ! You need a promod budget and car as the only differance is the tire size. This is completely not what small tire racing was intended for! Just saying as always this has turned into a rich mans game leaving most of the racing community on the side lines. Crazy that a good number of these cars have 3k to 4k powerplants!

  5. Bill I appreciate the videos I've been having accelerator pump problems it's not the pumps problem is the damn check valve I didn't know about I've even had the squirters out there and clean them and didn't even know. I thought the accelerator pump had already dried out

  6. Proform rockers Mark chose, not very good quality.
Put some Scorpion Endurance ones on.
Those heads are known for breaking the rocker stud bosses once you use higher lift and more aggressive cams.
Double helicoil the exh stud bosses, and use arp 235-7203 studs. Be careful on the stud over the exh crossover. That one has to be shortened some, and can’t be drilled as deep for the helicoils.

Use arp 235-7204 studs on the intake.

I would use an Isky step nose hyd roller in it, 696294/294. It works great in 496’s. Great powerband.
Just use a gen vi timing set, and a step nose cam retainer plate GM 10168501, bolts 14093637.

And almost all mark iv blocks say hi perf passenger on them. The only thing special about that block is it’s a 4 bolt main 427.

  7. I just think it sucks that now to run small tire you got to have a 100k+ car to compete! There needs to be a class where its stock suspension, stock fuel tank and lines, all real glass, only fiberglass hoods allowed cuz some cars came with them from the factory. Just a class where us broke guys who just build hotrods in their garage like it used to be! Oh, and street legal tires like your Cooper Cobras, B.F. Goodrich radial T/A's etc. Small tire no prep was/is supposed to represent the street and street cars, not cars with 100k frames and suspension!! Its just gotten way outta hand cuz thats where the moneys at, but to have cars out there like that Bumblebee Camaro or that Frankenstein Corvette is just ridiculous!! Just my 2 cents.

  8. …looking forward to the success of your event ! I know you have thought of this already, but "you cant please all of the people, all of the time "…run your event to your standards, and the good ones will come, period…no grade school, play ground whining allowed…best of luck, brother & well wishes to Dad & Vicki's Ma…

  9. Maybe a pump gas setup would be a better option for Denny and his Camaro!
I can’t remember, but I believe you had t that carb in your extra’s and put it on there for him to get him through the spring and summer. I know Denny is on a budget, so maybe ATM can get him setup with a pump gas carburetor?
    Great video Bill!

  10. I don't care what anyone tells Me . If you have a Son who is for whatever the reason always in need of a car because his is blown or broken or whatever else .. and whatever he borrows he brings back broken in some kind of way .. THEN IT'S WAY PAST TIME YOU SHOWED HIM THE SEE YA SELF RELIANCE DOOR .. Because no matter what he drives he will destroy it …
