Haulers Are The Best Ships In No Man’s Sky Outlaws

The No Man’s Sky Outlaws Update add a ton of features to No Man’s Sky, but the quiet one that no one is talking about is that Haulers are now the best ship! They have the biggest inventory of any ship in the game, it is time to have haulers in your fleet!

  1. Haulers were ALWAYS the best… At S class level the damage they did was adequate enough and the shields were fine… I NEVER had an issue in combat with them… The new inventory space just solidifies them as the best ship unless your standards are looks…

  2. I've been playing NMS since it first launched on the PS4 back in 2016. And have racked up several thousand hours playing it. In those earily days, one could upgrade any and all of any and all ships they could obtain to 48 slots. Even when the freighter's were introduced. Thus introducing the ability now, is like a candy bar company reducing the size of their candy bar, and keeping the price the same; And then making it larger again, and charging more for it.

  3. I've switched stock ship for an A Solar, maxed it out and with B 30 slot freighter I have all the space I would ever really need. Maybe later if I see a point to set up a permanent base I would use a Hauler but not at this point, especially when I can take stuff off the Freighter anytime.

  4. If you happen to have an old savev and gotten an S class hauler from before they added in tech slots for ships, that hauler will have the second best hyper drive range, not the worst like the new haulers have. My S class hauler has 125/385/235/245

  5. Hey man no idea if you'll see this but this isn't the biggest invent you can get!! A guy I met on the game gave me a alien ship, it had 3 slot bays in it which I found unusual as all the ones I've seen are only 2 bays the organ slot bay and general. But thus has 3, general (forgot its name) the organ slot bay and now a third which are the living pouches or whatever there called basically the cargo slot. I got my friend to do the slot upgrade flitch with me buy butchering a A class hauler flying to a planet in the main ship calling the bought ship and me jumping in it at the station and tricking the game into letting me upgrade the alien ship item slots. I have a maxed 2 tier hauler I grinder to get basically all max stats on, that has 48, 21, 42 I beleive, where as the alien ship now has 48, 28, 42. No idea whether if the alien ships where updated or something but I've found nothing on YouTube or google/reddit of them having 3 slot bays. I've got pics etc if you want 😂 keep up the awesome vids.

  6. Was following one of your guides for an s-class fighter and while I was waiting at the trading post an s-class hauler showed up. Cost me 126M but goddamn, it's like a mini freighter. Unexpected but definitely welcomed.

  7. I just use my freighter because I build the matter beam and storage units inside and you have 0-9 of them and each have 20×20 space and can stack up to 9999. So then I must swap between my starships whenever I want (plus I'm a perfectionist so it's nice being able to organize my items in their own units)

  8. I hope they will add missions or even a depot/building that you can fly too and take on contract hauling work- similar vain as say Euro truck Driver game. The cargo cannot be sold anywhere else but your destination- which could be a matter of landing at destination and it will be offloaded automatically and you get paid based on cargo size of your ship and distance traveled etc- along with a time limit to make the delivery.

  9. I am glad they fixed this. It sets it back to the way it should be. I'll stick with my fighter though for general use. If I'm transporting farm materials, then I'll jump in the hauler.

  10. I think they should be a new ship type called "MOBILE" and you can go inside and make it a mobile base +plus it a hybrid so it mabey "EXPLORER MOBILE" Hyprid with good hyper drive or a "Fighter Mobile" Hyprid with good tec slots ect

  11. Large explorers are best, best class bonus, close to fighter maneuverability, only 10 less inventory slots than a large hauler… hauler maneuverability sucks and so does cockpit in first person, almost no side window view

  12. I have been going all space combat in my new run, no room for haulers. It´s been fun thus far and I am not allowed to make any money apart from destroying ships and sentinels + scanning.

It´s still a bit too easy as nanites come quicker than ever with outlaw ships dropping tons of upgrades, you can also install these upgrades and dismantle them for mats which is needed early on if grinding isn´t your thing. Definitely need a fighter for this as enemy ships, even enemy haulers seem to be able to turn on a dime … maneuverability is very much needed unless you want to chug shield capacitors.

The only thing I have the need to grind for are base parts since I do like having a cosy place to live.

  13. Normal NMS player : Which ship weapon is the best?
    Combat Hauler player : Yes
Having a Hauler geared for Combat is pretty fun, overheat? Just switch weapon. Even with 3 or 4 Weapons equipped, you still have tons of space for stuff, and you are tanky as hell

  14. always used a haluer s class since day one upgrade cannons and sheilds and good to go. Ive tried fighters for looks etc but with all the "island hopping " and base building an mats needed for quest etc i didnt see myself using any other ship. mine looks like your with out the tail fins . in white and gold.
