While I can’t stand desantis, the DEI being abolished was 100% a good thing, hiring based on race, sexual orientation, or gender/sex to get a bonus or funding is indeed RACIST, SEXIST AND DISCRIMINATION. It’s a good thing it’s going away across the board, not just at Disney. I’m Native American, and I don’t wanna be seen as a statistic, I want to be hired on merit and my qualifications and not just be on a checklist so the pinheads at the top get funds from hiring me that goes to their pockets.

Wow. That Lorcana event was nuts! I remember waiting at a Disney Store on May the Fourth one year, for a special Star Wars release. There was about 20 of us. I showed up about 15 minutes early, and was the fifth person I think. None of us were in line, all randomly standing/sitting. Before opening the entrance, they informed us that they were given a smaller shipment than previously expected, since they were an outlet store, so they were just limiting it to one item per person instead of two. When they let us all in however, everyone queued up in a line in the exact order we all arrived at. There was no pushing, no shoving, no shouting. It was the most organized spontaneous experience I had ever seen!
Fiscal Halloween is a real thing, it seems. I see decor for Halloween already established out in some form in the box stores.

Welcome to Gencon! Opening day is always a cluster with the many debuts of new game books and merchandise, without Disney throwing their hat into the ring. I’m sure the same thing occurred with the Paizo booth with whatever Pathfinder books are new. Best of luck to your reporter. Best bet for food at Gencon is to walk down to Hooters. Food is actually good with friendly staff and usually little to no lines during the day. It’s like gamers are afraid of Hooters, pun intended.
I'm feeling annoyed that they're still looking to put the Hat Box Ghost at the endless hallway at MK for no obvious reason. Even some kind of explanation would be helpful. Like, give us anything here, because it just feels wrong.
Okay, I know there’s more to it since most/all of the actual Bay Lake/LBV residents are Disney folks, but am I hearing the subtext correctly of “we, the CFTOD board, said let’s cut some stuff and save you, the residents, money. You (through your city councils) decided you actually were fine paying for those services and voted to keep them, but we thought your votes were stupid so we are ignoring them and are getting rid of other things as a result.”
The elimination of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is not about expenditure of money nor cost savings; it is a statement of intolerance and exclusion. Florida right wing politics is nothing more than blatant anti LGBTQ+ and racist policy. If WDWNT is going to pretend to be a news outlet, report the news as it tragically happens, not with a half hearted wink and a smile. There is no middle ground on the oppressive issues at hand. Stand up and speak out loudly in support of all who are the intended victims of the governor and his white hooded supporters.

The Donald Duck chair was still there last night – it was just very dark in that area to the left of the endless hall so it’s hard to see it. It’s next to the other chair. It’s a terrible location and will ruin that aesthetic. Should b in the attic on the right or even once you leave the attic on the right where there’s a large area in front of the roof theming.
The more I learn about politics in Florida, the more I realize just how slimy and sleazy a State it truly is.
