  1. I don't know when we stopped wanting to hold people to account with serious consequences…however trying to steel an election, rip rights away from women, an end our country are you serious right now?! A FINE?! Yeah no let's make absolutely sure they know we're serious: oh no they might fine me. better not try to overthrow the government

  2. Recall the Grand Jury that issued the indictment. Not the Biden Global Cable, Not the corrupt FBI, Not the weaponized DoJ. Yes, the trial jury issued the verdict, but they are the SECOND jury in this case. This filter and insulation is in place to protect all suspects and defendants.

  3. totally f*cked up repubs: i once had the idea for a tv show called "totally f*cked up houses," where a couple of building contractors tour houses for sale that have been badly rehabbed by unskilled inept diy bottom feeder flippers trying to get rich quick. the tag line comes at the end of each house tour as the show heads to commercials where one contractor says, "man, that is f*cked up," and the other says, "yeah, totally." i can't help thinking of it with your recounting of yet another tale of a repub taking a stance that is at odds with promoting the general welfare while privately admitting that, "yeah, what i'm saying there, it's f*cked up."

  4. Of COURSE the prosecution may have been politically motivated, but here's the thing: IT DOES NOT MATTER. The facts were there, to prove he did the crime.

What gets me about the attempt to discredit stuff by calling it political is that calling it political is ITSELF politically motivated, and thus discredited. No one complaining about the prosecution being politically motivated is anywhere near politically neutral.
