I had a friend (the one that showed me how to do the Nuka-launcher trick on the porch rail) built a camp there not too long ago but he didn't like it and decided to move it. I wouldn't build in that area myself because of the scrotch beast. I went up there a few times and that stupid ass thing came around and I left really fast. LOL I will always leave an area when it pops up, unless I am actually needing to kill one for one reason or another.

It's the mouse wheel on PC that works best for placing that camp module, but it's finicky as hell, so it might take you a few tries.
There is another railcar somewhere in the mountains (and I only wish I could remember, specifically, where) that's very nearly perfectly level. It doesn't have the nifty prebuilt stairs, but it also doesn't have any dead settlers in it that I recall. Never quite got around to building a full camp there, but it passed all the preflight checks for going crazy with it. Gee, thanks Kiki. Now I'm going to have to walk the entire length of the monorail to find it again. 😀
After the whole legacy removal, not many people play this game anymore so it's hard to find really cool builds in public worlds ☹
Very cool spot, I've never built here before. I'm look forward to seeing where this build goes. On a side note, I love seeing what all ther other entrepid builders create in your challenges.
Camp placement height! I built a camp in the mire in some trees in the water and wanted to go above the trees but couldn't. Now I know why so THANK YOU!!
I suppose it depends on how much chems the builder has consumed/ingested prior to construction? 😉

I remember building here a long time ago. Interesting choice. I think I need to make a new camp now. Looking forward to seeing what everyone does.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to place things INSIDE of the boxcars? Every time I think I succeed in placing something down inside of them, they actually appear ON TOP OF the boxcars.
