Hands on with PSVR2’s most TERRIFYING GAME! // Switchback PSVR 2 Gameplay Exclusive

Switchback is the ultimate VR haunted house simulator and for fans of horror it’s looking like an absolutely essential PSVR2 game purchase. I was lucky enough to be one of only three people outside of the studio to go hands on with some Switchback PSVR2 gameplay at their studio in London and I left feeling very excited about how this one is shaping up. Supermassive Games are back with another terrifying VR title and this time it’s exclusive to the incredible PSVR2, Switchback is the spiritual successor to Until Dawn Rush of Blood and it aims to throw players into a far more expansive on the rails, rollercoaster hell ride filled with locations from the studios popular Dark Pictures Anthology series. In my PSVR2 gameplay hands on session I was able to play through three of the ten levels, one from Man of Medan, one from House of Ashes and one based on the studios most recent work The Devil in Me. Immediately the game feels leaps and bounds ahead of Rush of Blood; It looks far sharper on the PSVR2 and comes complete with levels that are MUCH longer, puzzles to solve, branching pathways, mind blowing haptic and eye tracking features, immense replayability and of course TONNES of jumpscares… Switchback is launching for PSVR2 on the 16th of March and it’s definitely one I’ll be diving back into as soon as I get my hands on the finished product!

This Switchback VR gameplay / PSVR2 gameplay was recorded on site at Supermassive Games studio just outside of London, the PSVR2 gameplay is representative of the state of the game at this point in time so any bugs or issues you may see in this PSVR2 gameplay video will be worked on right up until launch at the beginning of March. Switchback is a PSVR2 exclusive.

  1. First of all, this looks incredible, and it has exceeded my expectations—Rush of Blood on steroids.

Really hope, though, that it gets post-launch support. A game like this is perfect for adding new tracks, guns, modes, etc.

Even a mode where it's just the coaster ride and no combat would be pretty neat, if you're not in the mood for shooting.

  2. Can't wait for this new headset to arrive, pre-ordered the PSVR2 and the touch controller charging dock. Looks like you had a blast Beardo ! Just watched Mike from Virtual Reality Oasis play this as well. What a time to be alive !

  3. I remember to feel a little of motion sickness on the roller coaster in Rush of Blood on the PSVR.Does Switchback on the PSVR2 cause less motion sickness? If yes, do you know why from your own impression?

  4. Soooo if it reacts to blinking your eyes….. what happens if you're in such a situation and just blink one eye per time, so you always keep one eye opened…….. ???

  5. Why does the heads dissapear rlght after the last bullet? It's very distracting. Some part of the head should have stayed where it is. I know it would be more gory buy isn't it the point after all?

  6. Does anybody who supports this channel remember back in 2021 when this dude was on the Quest Misson? Suddenly it promotes PSVR2 ? Even coverage is all anybody expects .Not Bandwagon Jumping .Very poor VR coverage.
