  1. I think the difference is Jami. You have a calming energy, while Lester has a high hyperenergy at all times. I'm not putting him down; it's just what your natural energy is, and he feels it. You have more patience, where Lester is. Do it, do it, do it right now. I think you will need to do it until he really understands it's okay before Lester should try. Congrats, Mamma and Roman. YA DID GOOD!

  2. Not sure if this could be a thing. Roman is doing so good, but I wonder if rubbing the rope on him might cause him some distress; especially if he was ever whipped. I'm not a horse person at all, just a thought. You guys are part of miracles that seem to happen all the time with your animals.

  4. HI JAMI, A PIECE OF ADVICE THAT I HOPE HELPS. Lay Romans blank on the floor spread out, inside of blanket down, take tail end of blanket & fold back to top. [ so 1/2 of inside of blanket is up] using left arm put it on floor under the blanket in center, pick blanket up. The part that goes over withers & tail should be to your left on your arm. You'll have to pick up straps of course. Now you can let Roman sniff, rub him excetra. When he feels comfortable pick up the side of blanket thats not against you & slowly slide it over Romans withers/back, if he stands for this pull tail end down to tail do buckles.
I do this with all my horses & when taking it off I just reverse how I put it on.
Hope this helps dear. ❤ to all.
