Every scene some supposedly deadly soldier is on the verge of tears because of an impending emotional breakdown. These are meant to be humanity's most efficient warriors, downright killing machines, named for the most notorious armed forces in antiquity, and 90% of the time we see them portrayed as little crybabies. It truly is character assassination of the highest order. Destroys every scene and makes the show unbelievable and unwatchable.

Yeah episode 7 was so bad I had to go to IMDB and give a bad review, how does she know exactly where the stars are from cave walls, and put em into a 3D hologram galaxy. Same when he is trying to grab corporal Perez and she is trying to fight him and he is struggling, and in the next scene he is taking down an elite psyop with his bare hands, it felt like he shrunk in size, hes not strong at all times, the consistency is crap.

The writers really have gone off the rails with all the subplots that dont seem to even go anywhere interesting in season 2. Why for example is so much time dedicated to Soren who is seeking his son with his wife. They just venture into a Spartan training installation which seems to have no defenses or guards to prevent people from just wandering in. Also what is kvans purpose in this all? In season 1 she seemed to have a purpose but now she seems like an afterthought for most of the season 2. This series should have concentrated much more on master chief and the people he encounters in his battle against the covenant. I have liked some episodes but for me the series suffers every time when master chief is pushed aside for these pretty non interesting sub plots. Also they killed off one of the central characters of Halo aka admiral Jacob Keys and I dont really trust in these writers ability to fulfill that gap in plot in a satisfying way.
Just watch Forward unto Dawn and legends of halo and a lot of Red VS Blue and you’ll be satisfied

Joe, the cuts to black are for commercials, paramount+ has different tiers of subscriptions. If you pay $5 a month you get commercials, but $12 a month don't have commercials. We have to deal with commercials because we're playing the bare minimum for this shitshow.
