Just going to say this as I know it's controversial. I love the monsterverse, hell I grew up with it. What I cover in this video is PURELY my opinion. I will happily respect other people's opinions. I've been a Godzilla fan since I was a kid. KOTM used to be my favorite Godzilla film, only now topped by minus one. But going from the masterpiece minus one was to…..this? Remember to keep the comment section civil and let everyone have their own opinions.
I really do miss the grounded realism of 2014 Godzilla and Skull Island- I think the Monsterverse has been going down hill since KOTM. I really agree there’s no sense of scale or weight with the titans, Godzilla becoming a Barbie doesn’t bother me too much, Scar King is dumb I hate his design with the receding hairline and mutton chops. I’m Gonna still see if but I don’t have high hopes
I’m not going to lie that I’m not 💯 on this movie. Plus I feel most people are overhyping this movie a lot. I’m still going to see it just to have fun but once the hype dies down it will become so divisive among the community you’ll see.
Also Skar King looks creepy yet at the same time pretty generic since it’s another primate. Like is this becoming Planet of the Apes 2.0?
Also Godzilla’s design doesn’t bother me that much. But the pink yeah I would have preferred Orange instead or red. Still I like that it’s giving me Godzilla 200 0 vibes.
Still I do agree with you about how the Monsterverse has become so different and not in a good way. Like consistency issues, plus world building and badly written characters and generic plots. After seeing Minus One Which is a masterpiece, I don’t think this movie is going to top it. However it’s unfair to compare and contrast.
Not only that but you’re right the kaiju don’t feel big but rather small. I’m not really a fan of Hollow Earth either. If this movie is going to be the last movie in the movie? Then so be it.
Fda when u mentioned shin godzilla it actually made no sense,shin godzilla is purely purple with atomic breath,mv godzilla being pink is different from purple put the colors next to eachother,and godzillas body build was changed bc of the fatshaming goji got and bc they wanted to be different like fw and zilla
We know godzilla feeds on radiation a d maybe that pink energy is not radiation and why he got skinnier and making furry kaiju is very expensive so that could be the reason why godzilla looked like he came from g mod they still have time improve godzilla
IMO I think the pink looks fantastic on godzilla, just seeing an evolved and more combat efficient form of godzilla looks so cool. I do agree with the CGI bit tho, the shoulder of godzilla's skin looks a bit stretched out. Edit: I've also noticed godzilla becoming more and more land suited from what he was in 2014, he was extremely slow, and sluggish, the agility of godzilla consistently increased from 2019, to 2021, and now he is running almost at the speed of Kong, literally witnessing godzilla evolve with the movies
There are some parts in this video that I deem as "overeacting"
1 Would it be so hard to believe that Skar King meeting Kong is BEFORE he gets upgraded with the eyes and painting on his forehead? War paint, to be precise.
2 What exactly is the criticism with Minus One? I still don't get it. That since Warner Bros has more money it needs to be better looking than Minus One? 'Cause the CGI there is decent, nothing more.
3 The shot of them running. Seriously? You have a problem with THAT? How about all the goofy shit Godzilla is perfectly knowing for? Like him using the breath to fly? Like him tail-sliding for a flying kick?
4 Fear not. Kong should get his arm broken and that mechanical device acts just as additional support to heal.
P.S. For crying out loud shut up and don't talk when the trailer is going forward! "The CGI on the baby monkey is…" I heard shit.
I don't personally like Godzilla's Amethyst dorsal plates. That and they went a bit too far into sifi for me. I can deal with every other Godzilla movie but I don't think I'll be able to deal with this one. They just changed Godzilla too much…

I am ok with the goofy thing but if Adam continue like this i will start to lose hope in Mv but if he make q movie about both of them with a REALLY serious tone and make the character concerning like is the apocalypse then i will gain even more hopes
I am glad we are getting all sides of Godzilla in the span of a year. The serious metaphor and the fun kaiju action. And I grew up on the showa and Heisei films since those were the ones I had access too. And this brings me back to my child hood which I am thankful for.
I honestly love the new Goji design. Its dorsal plates reminds me of final wars with a hint of godzilla sp, as well as the body just being fw due to him being a little skinny. I personally also love the color because of how much it reminds me of goji 2000 and how cosmic this makes godzilla look.
The directors of the the movie be like: Ok we must change godzilla's design to sell more toys and to make him "cooler"…
give him some lean and a trip to the gym and it is perfect! No one will hate this!
Now we have to make a trailer so that we can sell the toys early… Rush that shit now i want it done today the minus one hype will carry this shit.

I think it will be like transformers 4 where the cgi isn’t finished until later on before airing. And I personally love Godzillas redesign
