GUYS WHO FALL IN LOVE WITH DODGY WOMEN IN THAILAND | Real Love Or SCAM? | Bangkok & Pattaya Archive

Foreign guys who date Thai women are stereotypically branded ‘mongers’ or ‘sex tourists’ because mainstream media puts a sleazy, suspicious spin on it, which is sometimes inaccurate and ridiculous. That’s not to say there’s no sleaze or red lights, or dodgy bargirls about, it’s just that so many men fall in love with them. Thailand’s nightlife is legendary in places like Bangkok and Pattaya. It’s an adult playground, and I have a sneaky feeling there’s a wiff of jealousy from these haters! There are plenty of guys who don’t fit their ideal stereotype and not every Thai woman is a goldigging hustler with a sick buffalo back home in the village, times have changed. But there are many farangs who arrive here ready to fall for the first bargirl who looks at them. Men are falling in love very quickly and easily with Thai women. Why?

  1. At the beginning of his career, before Philip Schofield was famous in the UK, he worked on a little-known New Zealand Tv show for teenagers. One day he got the chance to interview Elton John and, at the end of the interview gave Elton a present. The gift was a T shirt with a photo of Philip Schofield on it – Im sure Elton John wore it every day.

  3. From my observation western women are domineering. I feel bad for the men over there and I totally understand why they would travel just to find love. Oh and also, you should note that not only western men shares naked picture of themselves. A lot of the local guys do the same thing too. So it's not just a western thing. I have tried finding dates on dating apps, so far has not been successful. Everybody seems so creepy whether it's locals or foreigners. I don't think dating app is the best place to find a partner.

PS : How can that British guy dated a girl that cannot speak English. Doesn't sound like she is his girlfriend, sounds like she is just a play mate. Lol.

  4. Hi pat
I have been to Thailand six or seven times yes got stung two or three times all in all around five k pounds.
But that’s cheaper then my divorce and was worth it …. I don’t fall in love anymore but all the girls or lady’s.know the score ( people say go up to the villages your get a good girlfriend they are ex bar girls ) get my drift.
As for Phillip Scowfield not many people like him and wish he wasn’t on good morning full of self pity but they can’t or will not get rid because of they out cry he is gay.
A quick story I stayed in a hotel in Pattaya one of the waitresses offered her services nothing wrong with her in her 40s but very polite but not for me I went back a year later.
She had gone went past a bar and she was there had a chat I used to slip her 500 thb now and again no sex just friends do people back home believe….I don’t care.
I have friends in the u.k and expats and we don’t go looking for the sex Sean but every now and again have a night of fun.
Thanks for a true and honest vlog take care my friend…

  5. Pat rember when the raised toll free ways were built in Bangkok. It was incredible the average Thai at that time never drove on them because the tolls were to expensive.
Looking down on the traffic at ground level at grid locked traffic it was like royalty would have felt living in a different world
But sadly thats not the case now. It's still the same now the lower income Thais use the buses rather than pay the extra baht Useing the BTS or MRT.

  6. Great vid! I probably fit into many of the stories that you told. I came to Thailand for a one month holiday in 2003 with about 500 bucks. I never went home. Like many, I taught English, lived in a cheap condo, and went out almost every night to the bars. 20 years later, I have been very happily married for 18 years to a great Thai woman and have a wonderful 17 year old daughter about to go to university in Australia. It worked out for me. And believe me not because I am anything special. Far from it. It worked out for me for one reason only. Two weeks after I arrived, after going out and getting drunk every night, I decided that if I was going to stay in Thailand, I couldn't drink. I could still go out to bars and all that, but I couldn't drink alcohol. I could see very clearly what was going to happen to me if I continued to drink while in Thailand. I took myself off to a AA group (amazing bunch of guys all of which do not drink – no chance of ever getting lonely and automatic group of friends who you can hit the bars with and drink "nam soda."). For me, I know beyond any doubt that decision not to drink radically changed my destiny in Thailand. You don't need to consider yourself an alcoholic (I never really drank that much) to stop drinking and enjoy the destiny-changing benefits. Being sober in Thailand makes for a VERY different experience. During the last 20 years, I have seen this again and again. For me (and I have noticed with many others) even a couple of beers was enough to screw things up. There is something about the mixture of the freedom in Thailand, the women, and alcohol (no matter how much) that seems to be a recipe for disaster for many. My wife said that the thing that really attracted her to me was that I did not drink. Even before I met my wife, I noticed that I was attracting a different type of Thai woman by not drinking. The ones that were attracted to me because I didn't drink just seemed to be of a better character. Whereas sometimes, a Thai girl (usually a bar girl) would get really angry that I didn't drink. I found that very strange at first but then a Thai female friend told me that they knew that if I was sober I was not an easy mark as well as the Buddhist idea that a non-drinker is a good person and they didn't like the karmic repercussions of scamming a "good person." Anyway, if you are staying in Thailand, at least consider giving up the booze. You'll be amazed. Cheers.

  7. You don't find men with a high level of consciousness falling for uneducated and unconscious women. Conscious men want a higher level of communications. I use the Hawkins "Map of Consciousness" as a guide. I am not interested in anyone who ranks less than 300.

  8. A lot of the guys that travel to Thailand to meet women have very little or no experience with women in general so they are a walking mark for the average bar girl. They don't realise how clever these bar girls are & the fact that these bar girls are only after money & don't find them attractive dispite saying "hey handsome"-when they walk by.These guys get drunk on the attention they receive from thai bar girls because they never experienced that back home.I suggest they study some red pill 💊 content online & watch some videos on guys getting taken to the cleaners by thai women before travelling 😅

  9. It has gotten harder for guys in the west because with dating apps women only want the top 10% guys & also western women have become difficult to deal with due to feminist ideology.Guys shouldn't be looking for girlfriends in the party areas of Thailand maybe learn the language & find a conservative girl in a smaller country town…

  10. Excellent illustrations with a deep intellectual presentation. Unfortunately the majority of foreigners here are lacking in sufficient discernment and intelligence in regards to the byrds here. Relationships here are finished and it better to use the following advice I learned.. The 3 f's find it f..k it and forget it. Their phones are the most important thing in their lives and certainly the foreigners will never measure up. Even the normal Thai byrds won't affiliate with foreigners because of the saving face element of this culture. The orientation around money has become so prominent here that it's nearly impossible to create a relationship with them. The cultural differences are astronomical and one needs to accept this. Just look at all the pollution in the air and road carnage and one can understand the mentality here is at a bare minimum. Dignity and character is nearly obsolete here. Just enjoy your holiday and 3 f's and the food loaded with msg.

  12. Ive been in asia for 3 years now, have many friends all over. Some will not date with asian girls, they say there is nothing to talk about – girls will talk about what they ate, or what theyre planning to eat (if u actually lived in asia you know how true this is). Then there are guys who have had asian girlfriends, and they like the cultural differences and learning from each other. In the end I still would likely marry a girl from my own country. Asians think differently, if you want to keep it simple in your relationship, ok, but i am a complex or complicated man and need more depth.

  13. 1. I've been to a couple of small pubs that look out over the sidewalk. I've seen that woman with the black shorts at 1:18 quite a bit. (At least I think that it's the same woman.) There are lots of beauties in Thailand. But when you pick up a working girl, you're playing Russian Roulette. I don't look down on workers or customers. Hell, I've met my share of workers in Hong Kong. However, if you're going to play, it's best to do it in a country where sex workers have to regularly get tested.
    2. You're spot-on about the money. "I would rather be lonely in a five-star resort on an island […] than be lonely in a 20 square meter room, overlooking the expressway in a grim part of Bangkok."
    3. I like the video clips of early 1990s Bangkok!

  14. You only live once and at 70 that once could run out anytime. I live in Jomtien and I am on a budget but I have a great time. For the most part it’s a business transaction but that opportunity does not exist in the US.

  15. I lived in pattaya for a year and didn't care about getting married. I think that it is cool though. You can meet good ladies at the bar or even away from the bar. You can also get scammed and used. I feel like if you treat her well as a person and dont mind paying the monthly bride tax you get a good deal with a kind heartened person. I say you shouldn't marry a woman you met on a 2 week vacation. Dont hold it against them that they see marriage in a more obvious way than western culture.

  16. There are actually many Female "mongers" who visit other countries for much the same reasons.
    – Loneliness, ability to obtain a young s## partner (male and female), inexpensive nightlife… etc.
    — Many bar "girls" cater to western "women"… Not well known and certainly a much smaller percentage.

  17. Word of advice. Don't get carried away by emotions, just because you get noticed once you come to Thailand. I know most guys aren't use to this kind of attention back home. But brace yourself, and be cool. And for gods sake, don't get a relationship with a bar girl.

  18. 2:58 Thailand is no paradise. The famous slogan "The Land of Smiles" is just a marketing line coined by an airline, not a representation of reality. There aren`t any more smiles in Thailand than anywhere else. The air is so polluted in Thailand you can hardly breathe. The police are corrupt and depraved to the degree that they probably commit most crimes themselves. With the exception of shopping malls, airports, banks and some other venues, Thai streets are seedy and public space is in general disrepair. Crossing the street is a life threatening endevour, for a pedestrian crossing doesn`t mean anything in Thailand. Their default attitude to you as a foreign tourist is to try to scam you whenever possible, and this pertains to their government no less than to tuk-tuk or taxi drivers. Now about sex. It`s argualbly the best thing about Thailand. Many Thai women are very good-looking. In Buddhism sex is part of life, not sin, and a complete absence of guilt about sex in Thais shocks some Westerners. Many western men marry Thai women. Some of these marriages fail, but many couples live happy family lives and settle in Thailand or overseas. But Western women seem to have a problem with Western men finding an alternative to simping in the friend zone. Note that when Western women travel to places like the Caribbean to have fun with local men, it`s called 'empowerment', but when men travel to south-east Asia, it`s "mongering". As feminism hasn`t yet raised its ugly head in Thailand, many Western men experience a sense of liberation from the entitled nagging Western women and feel like they are in a "paradise". Why should your sex life in South-East Asia bother anybody back home? It`s kind of weird, but there are people in the West who act like a bunch of santimonious Victorian spinsters when it comes to other people`s sex life. That is not the case in Thailand: people there just mind their own business and I think this is the main reason why Westerners love Thailand.
