  1. Venezuela has huge reserves of oil..but the economy was destroyed by Chavismo aka socialism/ comm.. Maduro has helped destroy his own country and caused many Venezuelans to flee to neighboring countries. He needs to take care of his own "house" instead of eyeing somebody else's. Ven.ppl would be foolish to support this situation which will not bring them anything positive ,but besides the present hunger it'll be bloody…and will only benefit the Ven. leaders and their allies, R, Ch and Iran.

  2. The people of Venezuela are greedy and selfish. The president can’t even take care of the people that live there. Half of them are illegal in the states and ran away to Trinidad and other countries. LOL now they want to fight Guyana for land and wealth. Cheap greedy corrupt politicians and stupid people. Just live your damn life and stop multiplying lol 🙄

  4. The resources of Venezuela are greater than those of Guyana, but the greed of the corrupt officials of Venezuela make them want to annex Guyana so they can continue to line their pockets and also to make sure their famalies abroad continue to live like kings. The Guyanese people are a peace loving people..they are not like the war mongering leaders of corrupt Venezuela. I pray that the British will not allow the exploits of Venezuela to take root.

  5. Exon, Shell and Guyana should call
On the USA and England and other Countries for support . ( Military if needed ) You cannot allow A Communist Dictator to Annex A section of Guyana. As Putin is doing to Ukraine.

  6. In 1899 the VENEZUELAN SIDE WON the judgement(Yes-this is the part they don't tell Venezuelans in school) with the help of the USA because they(and the USA) wanted the Orinocco river in order to control the shipping lanes whilst the British got left with the empty Essequibo jungle. BOTH parties respected this decision about the borders at first even though Venezuela did not like it but they thought they got the better share of the region so they did not pursue it further. Yes- VENEZUELA INITIALLY ACCEPTED THE 1899 TREATY even though they falsely claim they didn't. You can easily expose their lies by looking at official stamps and maps issued by the Venezuela govt after 1899 that clearly shows the Essequibo belonging to Guyana. Fast forward another 63 yrs when Venezuela "discovered" a post humous memo written by one of the lawyers in 1899, Mallet-Prevost, that alleges that the British were up to hanky panky with the Russians in 1899 to favor Britain in the deal(Britain was not favored in this treaty as mentioned earlier since they lost Orinocco). This memo was found after everyone who participated in the 1899 treaty was dead, so noone could be cross examined to verify this hanky panky allegation made by one man. Why did he not raise this issue when he was alive? Venezuela suddenly decided that they no longer accept the 1899 Treaty. Can you overturn an International Treaty based on a dead man's "Dear Diary" entry that was never validated? ABSURD!! The 1966 Geneva agreement between these two countries does not invalidate the original 1899 Treaty which clearly defines Essequibo as belonging Guyana. This dead man's memo is what Venezuela's entire claim to Essequibo is based on, which is also why they are terrified of going to the ICJ to back up their claims, they have no legit claims. Essequibo is, was, and will always be Guyana. The ICJ will rule in favor of Guyana that the 1899 Treaty is still in effect, as Venezuela's claim is laughable and every country will pursue border disputes, some with much stronger claims than Venezuela, if a simple "Dear diary" entry by a dead man is sufficient to void a Treaty. Every one will now start finding a dead man's diary. THERE IS NO DISPUTE, VENEZUELA IS THE ONLY ONE WITH A DISPUTE!!! Guyana does not refer to Essequibo as "zona en reclamacion" (reclamation zone) because it is ALREADY OURS so we don't need to "reclaim" it. Maduro is a selfish dictator that is desperate to hold onto to power so he using us as a distraction to stay in power.

  7. People as well as countries may find themselves in conflict/disagreements from time to time; so there is a need for officials to be appointed to make fair decisions. Many times decisions are not accepted by the parties, so there are Appeal courts, etc. The 1899 Agreement was accepted by everyone at that time because the land was swampy and forested. However, the discovery of precious minerals and petroleum products, caused the Venezuelans to review the decision of 1899. When the matter was heard in 1966, the tribunal should have dealt with it then as final or provide an appeal authority to make a final determination; but that was not done resulting in the present situation. The sayings: a stitch in time saves nine; strike while the iron is hot, and he who hesitates is lost are all applicable here! People with responsibility should not put off for tomorrow, what can be done today, and the world will be a better place! Currently, they are doing the same thing! Look at how long the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is going on!

  8. My dears, Don't be partial! Even if Maduro is a dictator! Look at the cause, and why the USA, Has to explore a disputed area in justice! What if there was no US interest? The area would be isolated or only explored by mutual agreement (Venezuela and Guyana) And in fact, the area belongs to Venezuela. Many Brazilians are driven by US arguments. And the USA, They are villages of history and in the present.

For Brazil, act correctly! We have to ask US companies to leave the disputed area! And that the area is a common agreement between VENEZUELA and GUYANA!

  9. When the Venezuelan were eating their zoo animals and in the shit hole, Guyana helped them/citizens. They will never succeed. English speaking Guyana must never speak another language. The british caused so much suffering in Guyana and left the country divided and with so many issues without offering any help. The queen is in hell for she did.
