  1. This story reminded me of my Parents. My Mother met my Father before WW 2, and She waited for Him to return. When he did they married in Feb. 1946, raised a family , and lived a good life together for the next 50 years until His passing in April 1996. She remained until Dec. 2005. In the years She was with out Him she shared many stories with me about their life. This touched me so much thanks for the story

  3. Wow how inspiring. Through tough and peaceful times there love surely stood the test of time. She waited for him n they grew old together.

They were indeed soul mates. The good Lord rest her soul

Even in her death he was still loving n visiting her. Give the elderly Veteran the strength to carry on my Lord

    God bless them both

  4. Stuff like this is a reason why we should always honor our veterans for all the hard work they have done for us. South St. Louis County, MO is home to many, many veterans. We as a whole need to do whatever it takes to honor our veterans for all the hard work they have done in protecting our country.
