[4K] Gulliver’s Land Princess and Pirates Event, join us for a tour as the Princess and Pirates takeover the theme park and treasure awaits those that hunt the rare Red Gems
The Princess and Pirates event is a special weekend held between 30th April and 2nd May 2022 which includes treasure treats, fancy dress events, themed activities and much more. Percy Pirate appears on stage with swashbuckling songs and Princess Gilly makes special appearances throughout the day.
What is the Gulliver’s Land Princess and Pirate event?
Would be Pirates and Princess arrive at Gulliver’s Land and are given a special bag full of assorted gems. As guest make their way round the theme park they can swap gems with cast members, ride operators and of course any Princesses or Pirates they see around the theme park. The idea is to look for special red gems that can be taken to the guest services area at the entrance of the theme park where they are swapped for a chance at winning some buried treasure. Pieces of paper are hidden in sand and the guests get to pick one for every red gem they manage to find and can win an assortment of prizes.
When we decided to go, we were aware that guests were encouraged to dress as a pirate or princess but we were unaware of the red gems treasure hunt until we arrived. With all the news and stories surrounding Johnny Depp at this time, the obvious choice of pirate was Captain Jack Sparrow and so we obtained a costume and applied the iconic Johnny Depp Captain Jack Sparrow make up and made our way up to Gulliver’s Land.
The red gems were very hard to find, many people assumed if they asked for them they were given them but we noticed that they were more likely to be given to the guests who dressed up or to kids who did something nice or were just being nice throughout the day rather than those who just asked. The Planit Park kids received 2 small red gems and a large gem for throughout the day. from cast members. They were entered into the lucky dip and won 2 slush puppies and a ticket to return to the park.
Gulliver’s Land is good family theme park with some great rides so we had a brilliant day and this was a really good event, that was free to enter once you were in the theme park and lots of people did win prizes.
Kids love dressing up. well ours do, and we would love see this this kind of thing done more at theme parks.
Gulliver’s Land is a family theme park which opened in 1999 and was the third park to be opened by Gulliver’s. The other two parks are Gulliver’s World and Gulliver’s Kingdom. A fourth park opened in 2020 in Rotherham known as Gulliver’s Valley
