  1. If your not on top of all things Disney it’s so easy to forget about the reservation system, I have a friend going to Disney this month, she has two week and Florida and got the 1 week ticket package (we’re from the uk) and I kept telling her she needed to make a park reservation, I told her for months but she just didn’t because she didn’t understand it, 2 weeks before they go they finally decide to make the park reservations and the only park available the 2 weeks their there is Epcot 🙁

  2. I feel bad for the couple but is general knowledge for quite a while you need tickets and reservations to enter the parks. It looks more like of planning on their part. Hopefully they were able to go at some point.

  3. Why doesn't Disney treat tickets as reservations? Except for annual passholders, tickets should be valid only day-and-date. Everyone understands the concept of "sold out" and "expired," so it would be much more straightforward for Disney to simply set limits on the number of tickets pre-sold for each day of park operations, and guests who fail to use those tickets on those days will lose the money they spent on those tickets. I guess I'm just as confused as everyone else is.

  4. I absolutely hate the registration system. It has taken away my freedom to be spontaneous. Although it is said to be the “backbone” of efficiency I believe it was pulled from an area just below his backbone.

  5. It says right on the website don't forget to make your reservation when you purchase tickets…super easy. Who decides to go to Disney on a whim from Europe? If you're coming that far, you better make sure everything is correct and double checked.

  6. Well, Disney did it again! They decided in their infinite wisdom to open up the annual passholders preview for guardians of the galaxy at the same time as the D 23 without bothering to tell anyone so by the time I got an email saying I could register the event was full I hope you guys had better luck than I did Disny really needs to get his head out of it you know where

  7. I am so looking forward to my Disney trip ! I am going to get so much free stuff when I go !!!
WD corp says we stand with the LGBTQ+ community (LIE) then gives money to Racist, sexist, inbred, moron, anti LGBTQ+ Republicunts.
People hate what Bob Cheapskate… I mean Paycheck…. I mean Chapeck has done to not just the parks but WD Corp as a whole, BoB gives a big middle finger and F you to the people and says to bad, it's all staying !
For those and so many other reasons, when I go I will be steeling everything I can….. I mean will be a model guest and pay for everything I want, and that statement is as valid and truthful as WD saying they stand with the LGBTQ+ community

  8. I visited magic kingdom during several sell out dates prepandemic. I think the reservation system at least secures your spot so you don’t have to show up early morning to make sure you get a ticket.
On one occasion part of my family were outside of the park because of a later day arrival. They eventually got in but it was quite the delay and a pain.

  9. I have bought tickets for Disney but wouldn’t have if I had known about the customer unfriendly reservation practice. This will be my last time at Disney. So unfair of the Disney CEOs to implement this. You pay a fortune for entrance tickets then have to endure this hassle and then there is the possibility of standing in line for hours. Never again!

  10. Someone needs to inform Chapek his "backbone" has bulging discs. WHY would you plan a trip to Disney from Switzerland and not already have what you need to get in? I do agree with Jolene below though. Also branch out to other parks, a lot of them seem to be doing okay over Disney. Although $21 for a pissy little piece of brisket and a few fries at Seaworld in Orland is a bit steep.

  11. Yes, we were concerned about this actual issue/ticket/sreservations. We lucked out right before Spring Break but the week after we GOT NOTHING. We snuck in there for this last trip for our Early Spring Break; but we're cutting it off for at least a year because of this exact issue. We have some people with annual passes/some people with last minute tickets. It would be rude for our visitors to not get in but us or vice versa. We're trying to avoid that situation.

  12. Don't get me wrong I hate the reservation system and I do wish they would get rid of it but if you are going to travel that far you would th8nk those people would have planned better. But because of this I think they should just go to universal and other theme parks in Florida. I for one am from Canada my family is going spring next year we will have our tickets and reservations well before we go.

  13. It’s pretty sad when the best year we’ve had a Disney in a looooong time was in 2021 when nobody showed up due to the pandemic. 2022 was the absolute worst, and we have been going to Disney every year for over 20 years now. We go at a time of year that’s supposed to be slow, although those don’t really exist anymore. They’ve ruined the experience with park reservations and Genie+. We were able to ride just TWO rides in THREE HOURS as AK this past trip, because of all the Genie+ people taking precedence.

If I spent money on Genie+, I’d want precedence too, but the problem is, you spend $15+ per person to get on rides and there is no guarantee you get on the rides, and you have no idea what time you’ll be able to get on the rides, so hopping to other parks becomes difficult.

For people who have never been to Disney, I can see doing whatever is available and enjoying it, but my husband and I have certain rides we skip and rides we love. We want to go on them quickly, and leave the park to hop to another park. This has become close to impossible with the way things are set up. Disney is screwing their most ardent fans.

  14. I feel badly for those guests, but park reservations have been required for almost TWO YEARS and will continue. How could people still not know they need to make reservations? Those tourists should have just gone to Universal or SeaWorld rather than wasting a day standing in a parking lot. Disney uses park reservations to control costs, determine staffing levels and order supplies and food. It’s a HUGE cost containment strategy for them. They are maximizing profits by increasing prices and controlling costs. This is business 101

  15. I had family members who waited too long to get Disney tickets and couldn’t get reservations. Fortunately they’re my family and I pointed them to Universal Studios. They had a great time there. 😎🌴

  16. The Pedophilic Democrat Woke Cult has infiltrated Disney (or is it the other way around). Disney now wants to push its “Gay Agenda” and put more “Queer” characters in its children's content.
Guess What. This Is Child Grooming.

Yes, the Pedophilic Disney corporation wants to make their “Magic Kingdom” the greatest pedophilic corporation the world has ever known.

  17. Anyone even thinking about going to Disney better do their research. Its worth holding on line with a Disney agent to confirm that tickets and reservations are confirmed weeks before traveling also screenshot the park reservation as well also pdf it and email to yourself. There have been “glitches “ in the system!
