In terms of the card exiled by Brutal Cathar coming back, objects enter under their owner's control unless otherwise specified, and the card has no memory that it was controlled by you because the object in exile is a different object to the one of the battlefield (Comprehensive Rule 400.7: "An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence.")
