Grand Canyon’s Dragon Corridor | Maverick Helicopters #Shorts

One of our favorite things to see on a helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon is the “Dragon Corridor.” Dragon Corridor is the deepest and second-widest part of the Grand Canyon! Like the canyon, Dragon Corridor was formed over time due to environmental elements such as wind and water.

Dragon Corridor’s name was inspired by its unique shape, which resembled the body of an actual dragon. The Native Americans named this formation many years ago and believed its purpose was to watch over and protect the heart of the Grand Canyon.

Getting to this specific canyon part can be difficult as it lies outside the South Rim and over rugged terrain. However, the best way to see and experience Dragon Corridor is from the sky! With Maverick Helicopters’ Canyon Spirit tour, witness breathtaking bird’s-eye views of Dragon Corridor, Kaibab National Forest, Desert View Watchtower, and more!
