I still remember watching your videos before there was a K in your sub count. and yet im still watching! 🙂
Little context you might have not noticed or forgot to mention is that those Hondas and Asimo, along with the Honda billboard are not placed there just because. That building where they're placed nearby is the brand's building in Tokyo
no way! someone else you takes wet floor sign submissions! 😮
There was a performace easter egg on GT3 (if I remember correctly) that I've never seen anyone else identify yet. But I tested it and it absolutely works. There is an F1 race that happens in Deep Forest. If the track is unlocked for the series, you can take a certain Toyota MR 2 and it will perform nearly identically to the F1 cars. You can even beat them with it! But only on that track, in that particular race.
I wish I could remember the exact specifics of it all, but I haven't had a PS2 nor any sort of suitable hardware for probably a decade. However, with a little research, I'm sure someone with the game and proper hardware could replicate it. Only reason I knew is because once I got my 100% and/or collected all the vehicles I wanted, I'd race underdog races or try to do things that were unusual or unique.
how did you explore them?
the Yeti is the snow monster from Empire Strikes Back
Make Burnout next 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
0:18 lol I was so ready to see that car fall into the abyss
i really want to see some GT4 tracks in GT8. like citta di aria, costa di amalfi, new york, el capitan, those would look insane in high resolution, even grand canyon.
They have some nice mountains in the sky box…. wait… those Mountains were actual terrain. 😨
10:20. The yeti you refer to is a wampa from planet Hoth in the outer rim. Star Wars mind you
What surprised me is that 20 years later GT4 graphics still looks pretty.
Jfc, ACTUAL CAPTIONS and not just the atrocious auto-generated subtitles?!?! Man's out here putting actual effort in!
It's crazy to see 3d people in GT4, the output qualiy of a PS2 makes it almost impossible to see this. So many details we're only aware of because of emulation
what am i watching
Hi, Slippy. Great video as always.🙂
Please, make a video about "Need For Speed: Underground (1)", too. I've been asking forever.
Didn't realise Vernon kay was such gaming buff🤔
I remember a video, very long ago, I'm talking early years of Youtube, where someone went off bounds in El Capitan in GT4 and ended up driving on a small dirt track, which seemed to be Cathedral Rocks Trail III, a course exclusive to the PSP. I've never found that video again, and don't remember anything beyond that, but I've always wondered what was up with that.
Chimply amazing. Nice
Absolutely amazing video mate! Have always loved GT but never thought about if there would be Easter eggs. Subbed and checking out your back content. Keep up the great work!
Those are demo tracks, notice that most of them are be the one used in the opening movie/autoplay rendering scenes when idled.
6:06 Is this that unfinished Motegi layout that was in GT3/Concept (I forget which)?
Since we're doing PS1 racing games… Revolt next? 😀
Excellent video Slippy. Though as someone with Thalassophobia that Nessie easter egg game me some cold chills lol.
4:32 guy on the left looks a lot like Manabu Suzuki, one of the 3 OG judges from the D1 drift series. Fitting for a hairpin!
I would like a Forza type of video like this one video about Forza horizon and one about Forza Motorsport
There is a spot in Laguna seca where I have always been able to push myself out of bounds through the wall you don't fall into any kind of a void
it's as chimple as that
Legendary video! ❤❤❤❤❤ Epic nostalgia. You are something wonderful. We need more racing games done like this.
soul
Very interesting video! I still can't belive GT4 is turning 20 already… Man I'm old
9:35 – that "visitor centre" is a Starbucks on the Tsim Sha Tsui Avenue of the Stars promenade in HK. The brown buildings behind was the New World Center. If you wikipedia "New World Centre", you'll find the exact same shot for the East Wing Office building.
Also, 4:50 – the one with the escalator is "The Gateway" – that escalator still exists but it's behind the Armani store on Google Maps.
I'm not surprised Polyphony Digital hasn't recreated HK as a map, some of the stores that are on the GT4 track are still there today (even for a lightning faced paced city as HK) so imagine the nightmare for licenses.
Since you're a Brit, I'm surprised to hear you say out of bounds instead of in to touch
“As far as I’m awur”
I do not care if I may have never seen these out of bounds secrets!
Someday, I would love to have a remastered GT 1 and 2. Same game just better graphics. I was inlove with 1-4 then lost interest in the franchise, where it was going. It got away from the experience you had with the early versions.
Awesome!
I wonder if there is any differences in the Tourist Trophy counterpart
That's a Wampa from Star Wars! No doubt about it.
Dummy trucks uh? That’s so creepy, that I’ll never be able to play gt2 again 😂
Is it just me, or does someone else think GT4's graphics are arguably better than those of Forza Motorsport 2023?
The out-of-bounds landscape at Swiss Alps immediately reminded me of the Skyrim map
