  2. AWESOME!!!! This is like a History trip through time. Great for cataloging the various GPU's there have been. Adding this video to my watch later playlist to come back to everytime im looking to build a new rig for Nvidia gpus. Is there an AMD version? If not, please make one too.

  3. Owned a 590 and currently on a 980ti still. Without shadow of a doubt, the 500, 700 and 900 series are definitelly A-rank; Loads of people still have fond memories of their cards from those generations (the 500 series was a bit of a mixed bag but the whole SLI craze that almost allowed them to run crysis on high at close to 60 fps somehow made it more popular than it deserved, upon looking back).

Since Nvidia likes to operate mostly on an Up'n'Down trend I'm hoping that the 5000 series is going to be worthwhile and totally not cost an arm and a leg while at it.

  4. I am glad that I'm still rocking the GTX1070. Next upgrade will be a 30 series for sure if somehow the 50 series will be priced reasonably or that the new launches will suppress the exiting one's price.

  5. The one thing he missed at the GTX1060 vs RX 480 stuff was the mining craze. I got a 1060 6GB back then simply because that was available for me first at close to msrp. It was good little card tho.

  6. My first graphic card was XFX 8600gt. I was excited like hell. The box it came was in a X shaped and with a Green Lantern Dog on the cover. Ahh… those were the days. Currently using 1070 8 GB for over 4 years now…

  7. I am agreeing mostly with this ranking except for the 30 series. The amount of VRAM was definitely too low. Especially at launch with the 10 GB 3080 and the 8 GB 3070. I mean the last 70-card without 8 GB was the 970 like 6 years prior. So in my option this generation is more like a C tier.
For me personally the amount of VRAM was one reason to switch to AMD and I'm still thinking that this was the right decision. I'm enjoying my 12 GB RX 6700XT and think that this card will serve me good even in the near future.

  8. in last 7 years or so first i got gtx 960, then crypto boom happened, and it was cheaper to have a laptop with 1050ti, then recently i switched to prebuilt with a 1660ti because that was only sensible frame per dollar option. tbh i have no clue where to go next. arc seems promising but im not gonna buy a promise. 4060 is not in a horison and 3060ti still is too expensive imo. GUIDE ME PEOPLE im confused AF

  9. I feel like the GTX 750ti deserved its own item, as it was the first card marketed to run on the maxwell architecture and was a budget card – it was cheap and had decent performance for its time. The gtx 800 series was also entirely maxwell but ran on laptops. And the gtx 900 series was 2nd gen of maxwell.

  10. I'll never forget unboxing my 9800 GX2. I believe I was upgrading from a 6800 series.. The size difference was, something.. Truly a "You vs The Guy she tells you not to worry about" situation.

  11. Damn, I remember being so exited to get hold of a 3080 then it all going tits up because of mining and scalpers .I was gutted. Ngreedier think gamers will pay what miners did, how wrong they are

  12. Why didn't you mention the GTX 750Ti? That card has a legendary reputation which is probably higher than the 10 series. I know it is only one card that was actually a Maxwell card, but that card is probably the greatest of all time when it came to value.

  13. Sadly, at this point, the "tier" is just a matter of what you manage to find a card at (as you said with the 30 series). Find a 2060 Super or a 3080 12g at MSRP? That's S tier Sweet! Pay $1400 to a scalper for a 3090 3 weeks before the 4070ti became widely available at $800? That's D tier daaaaang.

  14. I still use SLI 970s because I will not infect my machine with Win 10 or its illegitimate cousin
Plus there is no game out there that I have seen that would be worth the price of a 4080 to play.

  15. I threw my money at the 3060ti fe in the middle of the shortage and picked it up for 369 on Nvidias website and I couldnt be happier. Sure I could have just bought a 3070 but at the time I was out of work and had just enough for a 3060ti. Excellent card.
