Florida has some real, serious issues. Unfortunately, Florida also has a governor that doesn't give two squirts about the people of Florida. He only cares about what he thinks is good for him. Let's not forget the absolute amount of shit some criminals have to go through just to try and get an honest living after spending time in the slammer. I'm not saying these criminals are great, I'm just saying that if we want to get these criminals to stop committing crimes, then we need to dismantle the oligarchy, which is what is preventing good programs from being accessible to ordinary Americans. Ron Desantis makes a good point, this particular person is a menace, but he is not talking about what steps his community could be taking to help that criminal acclimate themselves to their post-prison life. It should not get to a point where some people have "multiple arrests". These are deficiencies in the system, a system that renders half of its people poor and millions uninsured. The United States of America needs to become more self aware that their government created the conditions necessary for violence to occur, as is proven by every study on income inequality that exists. Governments that prevent large levels of income inequality have less violent communities, period.
