I remember seeing a dev teaser or dev log a year or so back about this game. I wasn't certain until I saw the character and her art. I remember being relatively hyped about the look of this game, and I've not been disappointed.
the game looks so good, but it does feel a bit slow.
like the animations are very long, that's dangerous and a bit wierd, it feels like i could put the video on 1.5 speed and it would look right.
edit: i just watched a segment of combat in the video again, then i went back and played it on 1.5 speed and it looks 100x better, so i stand by what i said.
Hopefully we can see a full play through when the game releases because this looks amazing.
I think soldner is supposed to something like the german word Söldner which means mercenary which would make alot of sense
0:44 That's some fuckin amazing pixel art and I'm gonna have to use it as a reference now.
5th-ist
Wander, reading the intro with a reverb on could make it twice as epic! May be an idea to look into for future releases.
I'm beginning to think you need to check your glasses prescription.
13:28 Is this a Marathon reference?
I played this demo a couple of days ago and it was brilliant, combat fees great and the presentation is awesome
another great metroidvania demo from the fest was Afterimage, the visuals in that one were even better (even though I usually prefer pixelart over hand-drawn), unfortunately, the combat felt a little bit stiff compared to Gestalt
Can't quite put my finger on it, but some of the pixel art gives me metal slug vibes
Played the demo. This one is real good. I did not like the pixel art at first, as I prefer smaller pixels, yet it did not affect the gameplay. Dialogs are a bit silly, but the whole world setting is good. About the talent tree, I think it was.. ok?
In case you play this more. Alethia is Ah – lay – thee – ah, Only posted as you seemed to be having trouble with it.
