  1. Yeah I can't do another Pixel phone I have the 7 pro and the thermals are just really bad not to mention they don't hold their value well at all. Even the Google store is offering more for trade if you trade in your iPhone 14pro max vs trading your pixel 7pro for a pixel 8 pro. So the Pixel 7 pro will be my last Pixel phone, I'll be switching to a Samsung s24 ultra when it drops.

  2. I think for the average person who isn't playing mobile games and is very selective with the photos they're taking, 128 GB is more than enough. I've been cruising at well under 128 GB on each phone I've had for as long as the option for 128 GB has been an option. Full storage transfer and everything each time.

  3. Nice informative video. The cameras on the pro are my bread and butter and when you removed the noise from that waterside video I went nuts. My videos are often shot from sailboats and I have to spend a lot of time using Audacity to reduce wind noise. What a time-saver for me! Loved your real worldexample of that noise reduction feature. Thank you, subscribed.

  4. 11:25 One "practical" use I could see is during sunny/summer days, especially if you have children. Could use the thermometer to see the temp of toys, sand at the beach, temp of the sidewalk while walking the dog, etc. Also, just playing around with it in a hot car to see the various temps.

  5. I'm not sure I understand the frustration over face unlock not working in the dark/pitch dark when there isn't radar or laser hardware like the Pixel 4 to read your face. That should be a given that AI can't see in the dark.. Yet😆

  6. I cant believe they are still using these useless optical finger print readers. If the outright refuse to go with the better sonic sensors then just go back to old school reader as part of the power button. Also even though the face unlock is better on this I cant believe they still cant do anything to match apple face unlock. Come on Google. You are no longer new to this. This is the 8th gen Pixel already. Get the biometrics sorted

  7. Thanks man! You rock. Could you comment on the weight and the size in the hand? I'm currently typing this on my Pixel 3 and I am super in love with a smaller, lighter form factor. Just wondering your take on the size and weight in the hand. Thanks again!

  8. Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are great but are too expensive in India. Samsung S series and non-pro iPhones make more sense in that price segment. Google should reconsider their pricing and should understand what they are offering in comparison to their competition in that price.

  10. Seems like I am the only person which is really looking forward to the temperature sensor. I actually own a infrared thermometer. I use it for a lot of food related stuff, like checking dough temperature for yeasted dough, checking the temperature of the ice cream base during heating to make sure its not cooking and therefore damaging the egg protein (should be around 82 °C, but below 85 °C) but hot enough to emulsify, checking if the stone in the oven is already preheated for the pizza or checking if the wine I put in the fridge has already reached a drinkable temperature.
I get that these are niche applications, but I am really looking forward to it.

  11. "i just wish Google included a compatible charger so everyone could make use of that new speed increase"…

Buddy, ALL my old chargers can do more than 30W… I have a few that are 65W and one thats 100W and 2 others that are 35W..

midrange phones from the past 3 years have been using 30W or higher PD3.0 or PD4.0 Charging standards…

This "new" 30W charge capability, isn't new to anyone else..

  12. Your comment about needing to wait for the adaptive battery to re-learn your habits gave me an idea. That data should be imported when you do a phone transfer so it will use whatever your previous Pixel had learned.

  13. I have the Pixel 4a and Pixel 7

Disappointed with battery on the both and the pixel 7 has major heating issues.

The exchange value for 7 is super bad and the pricing is quite high at the moment for the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 pro.

    Thoughts?
