Gooey Egg Japanese “Tsukimi” Burger

When Sept 1st hit, summer in Japan is over even if it’s super hot outside. That means the food also changes. Enter TSUKIMI BURGER, with an egg on top to represent the harvest moon. Some fast food places have their own take like this year’s MOS BURGER offering. Would you eat it? https://www.mos.jp/menu/detail/?menu_id=010654&c_id=26 ▶︎ New ONLY in JAPAN channel with edited stories: http://youtube.com/johndaub

  1. When I have lived in other countries (>30), I have always thought of myself as an ambassador for my country (US), representing the best of what we have to offer, or as James Fallows wrote in his book, "More Like Us", emphasizing our egalitarian and gregarious culture (Noting now that much of our wealth was based on slavery and economic disenfranchisement of Indigenous Peoples.) Of paramount importance is that you adapt to, rigorously, the local custom. In doing so, you will be taken more seriously.

  2. I remember the time when Japanese McDonalds under-cut u.s.a.prices…it didnt go down well. Never really liked Mos burger but maybe should give it another try. My favourite is Teriaki burger! Enjoy!

  3. The McDonald's burger looks delicious. The Mos Burger looks decent but the sausage seems strange. I guess you can ask for no sausage but then you're not getting your moneys worth. I guess you can save the sausage for later and have a another meal lol.

Also what a coincidence. Earlier today I googled a McCrispy and apparently those use a potato bun. I don't think I've ever heard of potato buns(maybe I have and just forgot) and later on the day, I see you eating a burger and you mention a potato bun. Maybe it's a sign for me to try it out.

Anyhow, thanks for making me hungry, I mean thanks for sharing.

    Take care

  4. It is so yummy… Unlike here in the philippines, iba yung nasa commercila iba yung sa real thing! Ang nakakatawa kasi mas masarap pang tignan yung nasa picture rather than kapag real… Kaya dito natin makikita na why Japan is sooooo diffrent sa Philippines!!!! Hahaha… Lol

  5. Look at these burgers. 😍 Both of them have a great tasty look to me. 🤤 I wish, I could eat one of these burgers with large fries and a cold cola. And the idea for an extra video about japanese eggs on your main channel sounds really good to me.

  6. My mom used to mash crackers in a glass of milk and she loved it. I couldn't stand to even watch. This is how I feel about runny eggs. I have never liked runny eggs…by itself or on anything. Hard boiled or Over Hard only. I'm not into this.

  7. That line on Mosburger is of people who saw John eating on the street 😅. He is now such a great communicator that it's hard to imagine him being shy. I'm glad Japan opened these opportunies to him. His videos always put me in a good mood ✌😉💕.

  8. In the cultures of E Aisa, people take the view that full moon is the time for family reunion. A famous poem of 李白 reflected that kind of unique concept. But that was weird to McDonald's, perhaps that's why they didn't put eggs in hamburgers. By the way, there is no pork any more at McDonald's in Taiwan. Now they only sell chicken, beef or fish. That is deemed very political and what a pity!
