Each player will be starting off with a core of their favorite army to play in 9th edition, and every turn a portal from the Island of Lost toys will open up, allowing players to add Forgeworld models to their army that are going out of production or into Legends rules.

I disagree Bridger. It is not Games Workshop puberty. It is Games Workshop Midlife Crisis.
I kind of dislike the sentiment expressed at the near-35 minute mark about "lost models". They aren't lost. You still own them. No one has taken your old edition or Horus Heresy books away. Yeah, they're being cycled out of tournament play, and your opponent will have to be cool with you playing them (instead of you just being able to spring a weird random $500 Forge World model on them in a pickup game.) The reality is you should have always been talking to your opponent about most of this stuff that you wanted to use, anyway. Now, new players don't have to just accept being surprised by weird stuff from esoteric books.

i dis-agree with you both very strong because Warhammer Community W40K from Games Workshop yesterday has screwed over us Hobbyist game player's over because if i had 1000, 200 point Chaos Space Marine army to a Competitive or Tournament event here in my home country " UK ' i would not be allowed to use Thunder Hawk gun ship, Drop Claw Pods, Hell Brake Chaos Planes, etc, and The Great Unclean one of Nurgle Farther has Gone for Age of Sigmar/Death Guard Army also to/my latest Data Codex's Books 📚 are Useless now accept For Home 🏠 Brewed mission's like Space Crusade, Space Hulk, Fantasy mixed up 4k & finally i want be playing/leaning 10th edition any more as from yesterday because G.W Don't Care about 4K customer franchise fans here in my home country of UK any more a very Sad 😢 for us Brits 🤯😡👎
