We got PS5s, Xboxes, the Nintendo Switch and I still can’t play Kirby’s Air Ride or Mario Galaxy 2 on modern consoles. What’s with that? There’s countless titles now inaccessibly on modern hardware, and that’s not fun. Digging out an old xbox only for the disc drive to fail and the signal to look extremely dark or crunchy isn’t ideal, and it’s crazy we don’t have a lot of these games on things made in the 21st century.

They make great stuff that looks and feels good on ya, I recommend!
GOOD OL GAMES THOUGH EH? I wish there was an all in one video game console that'd just play everything but unfortunately life don't work like that. Hopefully one day! Lemme know if there's and oldie you gotta work to play, I love finding "new" games to check out!
the whole ordeal of game freak hating nuzzlockes was bullshit btw
If you like Omega Boost you'd probably like Another Century's Episode. It's like someone tossed Macross into a video game setting and made it work, with Macross, & other mecha anime like Gundam, Code Geass, & Eureka Seven.
They were also made by From Software
I clicked on this video so you could talk about Skies of Arcadia! Now that Earthbound has finally been ported to the Switch (who thought the Wii U and NEW 3DS was a good idea?!) and Suikoden is coming soon, that game has now taken the number one spot on my most wanted re-releases!
Terranigma is one of my childhood games and is still in my top 10 favourite games of all time. I've given up all hope of seeing a rerelease though. Also Skies of Arcadia being stuck on Dreamcast and Gamecube is a crime, especially with Sega loving to reference it every so often.
Piracy should be legal if a game has not been readily available for a decade.
Mention of Beyond Oasis! That was the only game I ever bought with my own money, instead of inheriting from my brother.
A lot of good mentions. Many sixth gen platformers and racing games had so many ideas never replicated, some like No Man's Sky doing the SW Battlefront 3 or Haven Call of the King planet from space and space to planet transition years later. I care about so many of them.
PSP games that are puzzle (Crush on PSP and 3DS is something but Cube, Practical Intelligence Quotient 1 & 2 among others are left behind), Coded Arms (roguelike shooter with not great but surprising procedural and item drop level design) is my favourite Konami IP besides Love Plus those will be left behind if the PS3 trailer for Assault was all anyone ever saw and that was before your Vanquish, Binary Domain, Front Mission Evolved, Mindjack and so on from Japanese publishers did Shooters those were later PS3/360.
Well at least Konami allowed Turbo Grapx/PC Engine on Wii U and Wii but otherwise on PlayStation 3 only in Japan besides whatever is in the PC Engine Mini/Classic. But yeah other stuff for sure more out of reach for sure.
War in the North is a LOTR game I never expected but it's a short but fine game. I got a joke of strategic shopping with this game when I wasn't as aware how RPGs worked. It's a fine time.
The Omega Boost trophy reminds me how Grid Legends does the same for many racing games like Metropolis Street Racer, San Francisco Rush, Moon Over the Castle (GT music reference) and I played so much GT1 maybe (even if for GT Class 1 car upgrade paths it seems fitting), Reiko and Rage Racer for Ridge Racer for the ones I was able to pick up on, and the moment I saw them I went 'they get it'. Which for an EA game now I assume is a bunch of Codemasters Devs from Bizzare Creations and other developers that have something on those racing classics. Astro does references well though so that says something when Asobi/Japan Studio does well with their old stuff referencing or parodying in Astrobot Rescue Mission, Astro's Playroom while the western side of Sony goes 'no idea what you are talking about'.
This is why emulation is very important.
Jet Set Radio had a HD re-release on 360 and PS3…
Amped 3 looks like a BLAST
This needs re release!
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is one of my all time faves. It just has everything you could want from a Castlevania game and the soundtrack is out of this world.
the fact i cant play ps vita games on pc a really sad
I’ve got a recommendation:
The Fatal Frame series.
Most seem to just have the original release and PS3 digital rereleases.
I’m keen to dive in to these games soon and would happily buy a new form of them.
Not quite true in regards to Golden Sun. Both Golden Sun games came out on the Wii U virtual console
The ratchet and clank original trilogy 😭
Midnight Club hasn't been remastered yet
Jade Cocoon (ps1) and its sequel for the ps2 NEED re releases! Modern pokémon games have taken so much from those games such as overworld encounters, dynamax den battles (giant ogrevine bosses in jade cocoon 2) and more!
Illbleed.
thank you for reminding me of eiffel 65. i cant believe id forget something so important
Dude, War for the North, Shadows of the Damned, the transformers game….i am so with you I'd love these as remasters!
It would be smart for Xbox game pass to buff up their library by getting a bunch of retro games on the cheap.
Before vid comment: MSG4
I'll forever throw Hands with Playstation until they port the classic dissidia games to modern Plattforms. I need my fix 😭
We need remakes/remasters/re-releases of all the bloody roar games
I have no clue why the Tales of Xillia duodology are still stuck on the ps3
what's the game at 3:52?
Technically you can still add funds to the 3DS and Wii U e-shops by merging them with your Switch funds, which is how I got some of the games on this list (Metroid Prime Trilogy and Zack & Wiki). But I can definitely see where you’re coming from. I limit myself to Nintendo games, but as was brought up, that’s one of the bigger holdbacks. I recently bought copies of Air Ride and the original Luigi’s Mansion at a con, and they totaled $140. Granted that is on the lower side (I saw Skies of Arcadia Legends there selling for $130 by itself), but still.
Golden sun is definitely an amazing game!
For now, only emulation can get the job done
I want a third bomberman 64 game so I can see the rivalry of bomberman and regulus keep going
Saturn emulation being very poor? Could I ask what Saturn emulator you are using because Saturn emulation has been great for quite a while. Using Mednafen (and the Mednaffe frontend) or the Beetle-Saturn core in Retroarch I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference between emulation or my actual Saturn connected to the same TV if I wasn't the one who connected them up.
Oooooh Timesplitters, where did you go?
Shadows of the Damned is so fucking goofy. I love everything about it. One of the most memorable things about it, to me at least, is Yuri Lowenthal playing a character that just screams fuck you over and over.
