The Rutilated Quartz Golden Blossom came about through an accident. I had shipped a carved gemstone sculpture to Germany. When I got there and unpacked the box, much to my dismay, the carving had broken into three pieces. However, as I looked at the broken pieces, I decided to start carving one of them. As I carved, this beautiful blossom emerged, bringing new beauty with it. I made the bronze base and then used a special process to create the rich patina that complements the gemstone carving. This is a beautiful decorative accessory to sit on a desk, a mantel or where ever you like to display art.
