  1. junkie just makes Walmart great value versions of the original themes, hearing his Mothra score in theaters really fucking pissed me off, its literally her theme she's had for decades now, but with a few notes switched around.

  2. This movie was a lot of fun in my opinion, just pure dumb fun. But man, the tonal whiplash of seeing this movie not that much longer after seeing Minus One was insane lmao, talk about a palette cleanser. I agree with your criticisms of it down to a tee though, the human characters are super baseline, Godzilla’s role is way too minimal – like seriously, why even put his name in the title, it’s clearly a Kong film first and foremost, just give the man his damn spotlight – and now that you mention it, the soundtrack really IS super weak, it would’ve been great to have Bear at the wheel again. At least it didn’t drag its feet like some of the previous MV films. While this movie is pretty devoid of substance on most fronts, I’m just glad it exists. We got two back to back hits for this franchise, like come on, the G-Man really couldn’t be in a better spot at the moment. Solid review!
