My favorite part of this movie was, there was a website where you can track Godzilla's movements on google earth, and you'll see that he was approaching Ghidorah in Antarctica

ERROR: The volcano WAS going to be based in the Volcan de Fuego near Antigua, Guatemala. But ended up being based in real life's Popocatepetl just outside Mexico City, as they filmed there. It's literally the same silhouette!!! Sources? I know people in both crews: the Guatemalan one which scouted in Antigua for Legendary Pictures during pre production and the Mexican one which filmed the actual sequence. Also, just google photos of Popocatepetl and put them beside the volcano of this scene.

Rodan eating the pilot is particularly horrifying to me, because it demonstrates that he is 100% aware of what he's doing, he knew the jet wasn't the thing to eat, but the person who ejected out of it. And he doesn't even need to eat he's just killin.
