God of War: Ragnarok – Let's Play Part 1: Surviving Fimbulwinter

Thanks to Playstation for a review copy!

From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018).

Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarok grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.

● A future, unwritten: Atreus seeks knowledge to help him understand the prophecy of “Loki” and establish his role in Ragnarok. Kratos must decide whether he will be chained by the fear of repeating his mistakes or break free of his past to be the father Atreus needs.

● Instruments of war: The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos and Guardian Shield return alongside a host of new abilities for both Kratos and Atreus. Kratos’ deadly Spartan kills will be tested like never before as he battles gods and monsters across Nine Realms to protect his family.

● Explore vast realms: Journey through dangerous and stunning landscapes while facing a wide variety of enemy creatures, monsters and Norse gods as Kratos and Atreus search for answers.

  1. I hope y'all are ready to join me on this fantastic journey! I'm still working on recording but I expect it to be 80+ episodes when finished. I'm planning on releasing 3 episodes per day but if enough people are watching I may speed things up. Either way I hope you stay for the long haul because it's gonna be a lengthy one!

  2. To think Christopher Judge almost didn't come back to voice Kratos, what a devastating loss that would have been. During the lat minute when Kratos shouts "NO!" after Atreus tells him to think like a general, then pause and says "No" with such introspection it's truly beautiful acting. With just his voice I felt the nearly 2 decades of games and growth for Kratos.

  3. I believe the same voice actor for Atreus is the same guy Sunny Suljic. Since 4 years has past, his voice is different. Makes sense since he's older and the boy is older now.

  4. So far I’m loving the game, just the simple things like swapping between my axe, fists, and blades are different. Need to get used to pressing down on the Dpad. Not right or left like it used to be.

  5. cutscenes don't make a game good but those were great to watch someone else play thru having said that the combat looks clunky, hack'n slash on par with Lords of Cinder another souls like game this isn't even in the same league as Elden RIng

  6. I'm just starting the game on ps4 so I will come and watch the Let's Play later, but does anyone else think the graphics are horrible? Feel like the first one was better. Maybe it's because it's still downloading most of the data?
